"Thank you for your review! We are glad that you are satisfied with your fence!"
Ed Nunoz was the installer and I highly recommend him, he is professional and very skilled. His precision in the alignment of the fence was perfect and he hand built the gates on site.
Ed was also very patient with me and my questions too.
Josh was assisting Ed and he was a very professional and really hard working addition to the team.
They were polite, thoughtful and appreciative of food and drinks.
I have more fencing to do and i will have Western do the other projects on my property, I highly recommend them.

After 12 weeks and no contact from them, we began calling the company. We were treated rudely by all we spoke to, calls were not returned, and we were put off on multiple occasions. After 4 months, the garage railing was installed. It looks great. The front porch railing was measured wrong and did not fit. It had to be remade. We were told two more weeks. This led to another 2 ½ months of unreturned calls and rude staff. Finally, I told them that they had 24 hours to complete the job or cancel our order.
The railing was installed the next day. It was a poor job, and did not fit correctly. They had to redrill our new concrete to place new anchors, and put shims under one of the posts. The shims are bare metal and will be rusted soon. We also now have sawed off bolts in our front walk.
To top it off, they called to collect the remainder of the fee the next morning. By that afternoon, we had a threatening voicemail left about our lack of response to their request for payment. Give me a break! We wait 6 ½ months for them and they can?t wait one day for me to inspect their work before paying them!?
Stay away from Western Fence if you can. It would appear that they don?t take small jobs (to them) seriously.
Review of Western Fence
I had a pretty old fence but it was still functional & vertical until the wind storm on April 14, 2015 quickly made approximately 90 feet of it nonfunctional & horizontal. Wow what a mess, not only did the storm tear it down but it also broke every support 4x4 post off many at ground level.
I called a few fence companies along with Western Fence to get estimates. Western Fence quickly sent someone out to look at the damage and give me an estimate to clean up the mess and replace the damaged section of my fence.
Everyone I interfaced with at Western Fence were terrific from Andrew who gave me the estimate, Jennifer and Shannon who do the scheduling & handled the financial transactions to the actual fence crew of Brian & Shaun who dug out the old posts & put in the new posts along with cross members and put in the new planks plus replaced two gates. Brian & Shaun were amazing, they worked extremely well with each other and always took time to discuss what they were doing and why with me.
Western Fence turned my disaster into a beautiful new fence. The only thing missing is a Western Fence sign on the fence so everyone who walks by it could know who built it.

difficult time finding a company that didn't charge a fortune for traveling !
Damian and John were our installers and arrived on time and got right to work. They were great to communicate with. They
went through the whole job process and they listened to our requests as well as answered all our questions.
Since they had to travel so far to the job, they had to dig all of our post holes by hand. They were so quick and efficient even though it was a very hot day here and the soil where we live is not easy to dig up. They didn't cut any corners and I noticed them checking and checking again that they were doing the fence level and straight.
We are so thrilled with the end result and especially for the service we received. We have another side of our house that we weren't sure if we wanted to fence or not, but we have decided that we will and we will for sure be using Western Fence and
will definitely request that Damian and John come here again.
I think they could communicate more but I am happy with their work.
Second salesman Jerry was also nice during visit to our home, however that was the last time we spoke with him as he did not return e-mails or phone calls made over a month long period. Jerry did not bother to actually look at the property or what needed to be done either... he just went with the previous bids numbers which meant that several key points were overlooked.
Tried to get them to not remove the old fence until they were ready to put the new fence in because we and two adjoining neighbors all have dogs, but they insisted on removing the fence long before they had anyone to replace it. Kept telling me they would be out any day, then stopped responding to my e-mails and phone calls.
When I finally went to the company in person so I could talk to someone, the manager (Jerry's son) was condescending and argumentative. This by far has been the worst service experience I have ever had.
Consider yourself warned!
Numerous calls to the salesperson or someone in charge were not returned. When I finally did reach them, I was fed every excuse in the book for the delay: workers don't show up to work, the powder coating company is late, our crews are working out of state, we are finishing up a major commercial job, etc. When they did arrive after 5 weeks to install the posts, they sent two guys with a beat up fence post digger to use by hand.
The salesman said he was so sorry for my sad situation, did not blame me for being angry, really wanted to build the fence for me, blah, blah, blah. Bottom line is that they bid jobs low to get lots of work and then cannot deliver the goods, partly, I believe, because they do lots of work for the state of Utah and commercial business, so residential business appears to be less important. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Their lower bid is not worth the headache and aggravation they will cause you. It is anyone’s guess when they will finish your job.
However, their installers and ironworkers are true craftsmen, skilled and efficient. They do pay their employees well so they are able to keep good workers. The fence was finally completed on Feb. 17, 2012.
The bad experience came 10 days later when 2 new people came to put the rails and pickets on the posts. One of the workers pointed out that many of the posts, while "perfect" from the finished side, were very chewed up, gouged, and unsightly from the other side. He said that he would not use those boards, would use what he had that day and would come back the next day with new boards to finish up the rest of the fence. He also said that they would sand off the logos that were stamped on many of the boards. The next day came, and he told me that his supervisor had informed him that he would not be allowed to open a new batch of boards for our fence, that we would need to use what we were given. Their argument was that the finished side was perfect, so the unfinished side could be somewhat unsightly. I do not understand this argument, because a fence has two sides and my neighbors and I see both of them. He ended up picking out the best of the more unsightly pieces and used those to finish the job. He also told me that there had been no sandpaper available at the shop, so he would not be sanding off the stamped boards.
When I asked if he could come back the next day to sand off the logos and perhaps try again to bring new boards, he informed me that the only way I would get someone back out there to fix my concerns would be to call the company to complain and request a "call back" appointment. He said that those types of appointments were backlogged at the moment, and that it would likely take several weeks to a month before anyone came out.
In the end, do we have a decent and functional new fence? Yes. Do I feel like I got my money's worth? Not entirely. Will I notice the deficiencies in the 15 feet or so of unsightly boards in a years time? Probably not. But when I pay for a new fence, I expected it to be done with nothing but the best materials. I may try to make a callback appointment, but at this point I will probably just cut my loses and sand off the stamped boards myself in the spring when I stain the fence.
