The service technician, Jeff, showed up on time. He provided concise information as to the problem with my garage door, which had a broken spring, using a single spring system, and then provide a very reasonable quote for parts and labor. He replaced it with a 2 spring system, which is the standard for garage doors now. Seemed much more affordable than the prices I was seeing for other places on Angie's list. He was in and out in less than an hour. He was super nice and helpful.

Kyle did a great job of explaining what needed to be repaired, why and the cost before he started. Excellent service and very professional.

Universal responded promptly to our emailed request for an estimate, and scheduled the appointment for just a few days later. The installer, Jeff, arrived at the end of the appointment window, got straight down to work and had the job done in about 90 minutes. Everything seemed to go exactly as promised--I wish all home repairs were this straightforward and professional!

I had two companies quote the work, and I was meticulous to ensure that the contents of both bids matched ("apples-to-apples") - not only for the initial work but for warranties and service follow-ups. It took about a week to research the companies and doors/openers being quoted. Universal Garage Door was selected for several reasons - (1) less expensive for equal products, (2) Kyle. Through the quoting process, Kyle showed a high degree of integrity. He clearly wanted the business, but was never "pushy" and repeatedly wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the product no matter who I selected. He demonstrated his knowledge of the product, had me visit the local showroom to show me the specific door (and other options), select colors, and introduce me to the door reps. Kyle performed the installation, with early support from Jeff, and was meticulous to get it right and ensure what was quoted was installed, fit, and functioned correctly. I found Kyle to be personable and engaging, and I would definitely recommend Kyle and Universal Garage Door.

Kyle updated me on everything he was doing, step by step, and I didn't feel like he was taking advantage of me. Had I done this myself, I may not have gotten to it for awhile. I was very pleased, and I would recommend this company to anyone. Living in Davis County, I did not have to pay them anything extra (like Lowry) to service my area. Kyle lives in Layton, so he typically handles Davis County first.

We called Universal Garage Door Services on Wednesday, October 26th around 2:00 pm. We asked for an appointment for Saturday, but found out that the technician could come right away (the same day)! Sure enough, within a half hour, the technician was at our house, and ready to do the repair. Our technician's name was Randy, and he did a wonderful job! Our garage door moves and sounds better than it ever did when we first got it. In addition, they have highly flexible hours and are available 7 days a week. We also got a discount thanks to their coupon on Angie's List. We highly recommend Universal Garage Door Services.

Brendon arrived when he said he would, removed my old garage door and opener. He then installed a new insulated door and operator in less time than I was told it would take.  He did a good job of cleaning up afterward and helped to make sure I got the door code set properly.

Called problem in right after lunch (through my home owners warranty company) -- they were able to get to it the same day. Service tech was cordial, and knowledgeable. Everything went well. Definitely an A+ service call.

This company was provided by my Home Warranty company, and the call back to me was within an hour of the warranty company giving them my order. The Customer Service lady set up my appointment when I wanted it and it was actually the next day (even could do same day if I wanted to). She also called me in the morning to remind me of my appointment. The Garage Technician called me a half hour before arrival and was right on time. He installed everything very quickly, explained everything to me, and did a great job cleaning up after himself. He was very polite and friendly. Very pleased with the overall service and would not only use them again, but would recommend this company as well. OH....he even made the garage door more sensitive because of my little dog. He didn't want anything to happen to him. AWWW....so sweet. :-)

My garage door chain came off and I called Universal Garage Door on Friday at 6:30 P.M. They told me that a technician would be there on Saturday between 11:00 and 1:00. Dave arrived at 11:15 and went right to work. He gave me an initial estimate of $240 to change the gears on the box. When the gears did not fix the problem, he replaced the entire liftmaster motor. He also had to replace the keypad because my old keypad was not current with the new motor. He gave me a large discount to ensure the final amount was similar to the initial estimate. Very professional and I'm very happy with the new motor.

Performed the work just fine. Spring quality is excellent. The only reason I did not give an "A" rating for quality is because they adjusted the sensitivity on my garage door so it is less sensitive. I tested it after they left and felt like it wasn't sensitive enough and worried it would crush one of my kids. So, I had to readjust it back to the sensitivity level I had before. Other than that, the work was excellent and I wouldn't mind calling them again for future garage door work.
