Responded promptly to my inquiry, scheduled a convenient appointment & showed up on time. Did a great job of working through issues with a wireless network & printer. Very patient & stuck with me to resolve the issue. Not cheap but worth every cent.

I really like them. I like that they were knowledgeable, responded quickly, and fixed the issue the first time. I had them work on several other projects since the first time I have used them in November.

The hard drive died completely as they were copying it, so they were not able to complete the copy.  I was expecting this to happen.  They restored all the programs I needed in order to continue my work.   The repair was completed when promised, which was sooner than I had expected going in.  I have another computer that needs some work, and I will be calling them in the very near future.

Several staff sat in with a meeting of what our problem was, what we needed to know, and if Tech Guy could figure it out for us. We explained that we had no backup of our work going on and our expensive equipment was failing, even though we had multiple servers in place. Frustrated by efforts to get our current IT company in to do the job, they would come put a bandaid on everything and send large bills to us for their repairs.
After our meeting we showed him our equipment and contracts, specs of the equipment etc.  He went to work looking through things.  We had an immediate problem come up right away, and after he tackled that he had a clear understanding of the systems currently in place, their lack of response and ideas to incorporate.
Tech Guy (Jeff and workers) have helped us immensely.  We have added a few pieces and updated parts, and built a new operating system that is highly functional, up to date, being backed up, monitored both remotely and in the office.
(The 24 hour monitoring is a monthly rate)
We got our money's worth and peace of mind.  He is responsive, thorough, and not out to sell us anything we don't understand, or at a price we cannot afford.  And we've not had to sign ANY contract.

Jeff Edwards has been my tech for over 10 years.  He has performed installation of complicated systems, he has installed software, and been solely responsible for my computer maintenance.  He is unfailingly prompt, kind, and is a master of all things technical.  Because of the nature of some of the technical things I do (forensic medicine), I have some programs and applications  that are somewhat unusual and sometimes pose technical challenges for me.  Jeff is unfailingly able to solve any problems that arise.  He does it right  the first time.  Equally important to his technical expertise are his kindness and decency as a human being.  He is an honest man, he is ethical in the way he runs his business, he treats people well, and he is fair with his prices.  I feel very fortunate to have Jeff Edwards as my tech support professional.  I have recommended him to many other people on numerous occasions, and I will continue to do so.  I have worked with many techs on many sophisticated systems since 1990, but no one else even comes close to having the knowledge--and personal integrity--of Jeff Edwards.   He is also patient.  He has a gift for explaining extremely complex technical concepts to nontechnical people without making them feel stupid.  He is good-natured and easy to work with.  I met him on recommendation from another tech years ago and have been very grateful to him for his kindness and good care of my system over the years!  He gets the highest rating possible from me.

It was the best IT experience I have ever had. I have done this in multiple offices in the past and Jeff was not only reliable, but punctual, knowledgeable and price was very reasonable based on other comparables/bids that I had received. He continues to now work for me on a retainer basis and I would recommend his services to anyone that asks, and I have referred business to him.

Response from TECHGUY
"We are shocked by your accusations and the unfounded allegations you have made toward this company, myself, and Grace personally. As I explained in a previous response: "The TV does work and is a great TV but what does not work is the Comcast device, [which] will not allow you to split the signal to this location." You must pay Comcast for another box if you would like it to work that way, and this was explained to your wife and verified by your daughter over the phone. Regarding Grace, not Gracie, she has not been involved in complicit (illegal) doings, but has tried to assist you in figuring out this issue. The defamatory remark against Grace was uncalled for, immature, and overall...unprofessional.   Regarding contacting us "various times" and "would not give me email or fax number", we only received ONE phone call from you where we were instantly accused of double charging and being complicit, when in fact we didn't understand what you were referring to. We were not given a chance to defend our self against the accusatory remarks. The only email we received, which we requested from you, was a statement showing the "supposed" double charge. Our company ONLY has one supplier name, and we contacted our merchant about the "supposed" double charge. They confirmed that it was not us; that you were in fact ONLY charged once by us for the work we did for you. Therefore, there must have been a charge made by another company according to the statement you emailed us. In good faith we listened to you, tried to work things out with you (despite the allegations made against us), and even gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were not trying to scam us out of money.  We are sorry you feel that you have somehow been taken advantage of, but this issue could have been cleared up if we had been told of the issue, and we ALL worked together, rather than accusing us instantly for double charging and complicit acts at the very beginning of this situation."

"Sorry to see you give me a review like this considering the amount of work and the lack of value placed on what was done. First off we installed wireless devices though out the home that makes it possible to always receive the best possible signal a person can receive and this was the primary objective when we first met which was completed and exceeded. 2nd this was done with zero wiring that was useable in the house to locate these devices in the maxim locations so all of this was done with the devices we spoke about that would allow the sign to be used over the power lines. 3rd - The TV does work and is a great TV but what does not work is the comcast device that will not allow you to split the signal to this location and this was explained. All prices were discussed before I came back to do the job but I can see a flaw that you helped me with that will be corrected in the future, I will make sure to give a written estimate before proceeding. In this case and many other cases there are a lot of prices discussed and it makes it hard to know the final bill."

I called and talked to Jeff. We set up a time and date. He arrived as expected and got right to work. Ultimately he found that the problem was in the telephone co. modem. He called and arranged for a new modem to be shipped. When it arrived, he came back and installed.

When I called the TECHGUY, Jeff immediately and courteously answered the phone. We discussed my needs, and made an appt. for the very next day!

Jeff showed up on time to do the work, was professional, courteous, and did a marvelous job. Work was completed as promised! I am so happy with his service, and will not hesitate to use him again as the need arises.

I had previously used one of the big box stores computer services, with the requirement that payment be made in advance. As it turned out, the work was unable to be completed as promised due to the fact that the service tech did not know how to make it work....NO refund! NO personal service! Talk about getting ripped off!

I'm counting on Jeff being around for a long time.

His price included parts and his time.  He was super easy to get hold of. He called to talk about my problems and was happy to help me out and get through things. He was very straightforward about letting me know what was going on. He is coming today to do more work.

Except for sound and volume control, my old Gateway laptop computer worked perfectly after TechGuy repaired it. They restored my hard drive and internet connection plus improved my computer performance. They did all this in one day. After I returned my computer the following week to have them fix the inop sound and volume control, TechGuy downloaded and installed the correct software drivers while I waited. I was in and out of their home office in less than one hour. Great job TechGuy!

My computer broke down. I'm a professor at the U and I can address software issues, but this was clearly a hardware issue. The sytem would simply not engage at start-up (e.g., power supply would not activate). Took it in and it was a faulty switch. They fixed in in short order, told me it took about an hour and also performed a few other minor service checks. They were honest, friendly, and followed through with their work. In fact, I thought the price was more than fair. I will certainly use them again. Techguy works essentially out of his home, but he also appears to have a mobile service. However, I delivered the system to his home, so I can't speak about the mobile services he provides.

I called for assistance. The call was returned within minutes. We made an appointment for me to deliver our computer to TECHGUY that afternoon. The work was completely done by the following day. The price was only a fraction of that paid to another company the previous year for similar services and was completed in one day not one week. The price was exactly that which he quoted over the telephone. If I ever need computer repairs again, I will return to TECHGUY and I have given his name to several friends already.

Working with Jeff Edwards is always a pleasure. I have used him for nearly seven years. He is the best, most knowledgeable tech I have ever known. He can solve hardware, software and networking problems effortlessly. He is always pleasant, professional, quick to respond, and he is a good teacher who can explain complex concepts in such a way that they can be understood by the average person. He is honest and fair with his pricing. He listens to the client and meets their needs in the most cost-effective, reasonable and practical way. I have recommended him to others who share my high opinion of him and his skills.
