Excellent, the company took care of having the utility lines marked, showed up on time and charged only what was estimated for the job ($300). On a side note it was fun watching the remote controlled grinder do its work.

they were absolutely good old fashioned wonderful! they worked hard, fast and cleaned up everything. and the price was less than the bid.(at first I thought they had told me 75 more than they had first told me...so I was so elated that it was less) I will recommend them, and I had such a good experience, I hope I need them for another job in the future.

Steve and crew arrived promptly as promised. Very impressed with cleanliness of their equipment and vehicles. They came in and were very efficient and thorough with their grinding machine. As part of the project, they returned the same day and removed the chips efficiently and left the area very clean. We would recommend them for any project with clean up and hauling, tree stump grind chips included.

Steve did a great job and gave me the lowest bid by far! He even came back after I had removed all of the mulch and did some more grinding on the root. I was very pleased with his work. I also had him remove another stump while he was at the house.

Steve arrived promptly on time as scheduled. He removed the stumps of a large arctic willow bush and a peach tree sapling. He cleaned up after removing the stumps and left the yard areas better than he found them. Steve is professional and personable. If I could give him an A+ rating officially, I would. He is the epitome of a Super Service provider. I highly recommend his services.

Steve's Stump Grinding was incredible to work with. They honored the Angie's List coupon, which was substantially less $ than other estimates I'd gotten from other tree services providers. Diane promptly called me and we discussed the location and size of the tree stump to be removed. I'd previously called Blue Stakes and had the utilities marked in the back yard. The buried power line was quite close to the stump so I anticipated problems. We scheduled a possible day when Steve would be in the area. The forecast was calling for rain so I told Diane that I didn't have any problem with tearing up grass or dirt so it shouldn't be a problem for me. I also confirmed that the grinding machine required only 30" of clearance so I moved a few items out of the pathway to accommodate the machine. The day arrived and it was pouring rain and I expected they'd postpone. But Steve called me about a half hour before they expected to arrive. When Steve and his assistant arrive, they got right to work and examined the stump area and the access path. Their machine is fairly long so needs a bit of maneuvering room so they helped me move a couple more items to get in the back yard. Steve used a wireless remote control to masterfully get the machine into position. The stump was about 22" in diameter and about 18" high and near a couple fences. But Steve was able to make quick work of the stump and some of the larger roots. If the buried power line wasn't so close, he'd have been able to grind out very deep and thoroughly. But I was very satisfied with the amount of removal he was able to do. Afterwards, they cleaned up the work site and raked and shoveled to level it out. I wanted to keep the wood chips for mulch so no hauling was needed. I was very happy with the scheduling, work performed, and the pleasant customer service. I have been happy to refer my friends and neighbors to Steve's. A+

I contacted Steve on his website and received a prompt response to schedule a time. He arrive promptly and quoted a fair price. The work was exactly as described. He ground both stumps below the grass line. The work was done quickly and expertly. The cherry stump was on the other side of my fence gate in a narrow spot, but he didn't have any problem with it. I would highly reccomend.

The worker showed up on time, and did the job quickly. I am very satisfied with the work that was done, he cleaned up afterwords and didn't damage any of my property.

Steve's stump grinding did a fantastic job of grinding down 2 small and 1 large stump in our yard. They came as scheduled and the communication on the price quote and work to be done was excellent. They even arranged for blue stakes to come out and mark for power, phone and gas lines before they did the work. Thanks, Guys! We'll be using you again in the spring!

I called Steve's Stump Grinding LLC Saturday morning, October 17th and left a voice message requesting a quote.  His partner (wife ?) Diane called back within an hour or so and arranged to come out to my house that same day to look at the stump.  True to her word, Steve and Diane arrived within the hour and gave me a quote.  I was a little concerned that the diesel powered tractor pictured on Steve's website might not be small enough to adequately maneuver within the tight quarters of  my side yard. However,  Steve said he would do the stump grinding  using a smaller machine.  Based on that reply,  his very reasonable quote,  and the responsiveness to my call, I told Steve before he left my property to plan on doing the  removal.    
Steve's employee, Floyd, came out Tuesday morning, October 20th,  at the arranged time with a smaller version of the tractor highlighted on his website--also a Vermeer  but with  a 35 hp engine.   Floyd managed to maneuver the tractor through a few tight places and up to the stump.  He then placed a large piece of plywood against the vinyl fence to protect it from any objects that the grinding wheel might throw out.  In about 10 minutes or so the stump had been ground down to about 12 inches below grade, and Floyd had the hole backfilled. Before leaving Floyd helped me move back into place a few items we initially had to relocate in order to access the stump.   In summary, I was extremely pleased with the prompt service, professionalism, and reasonable price charged,  and would use Steve's Stump Grinding Service for any future stumps I need to remove.
