S & S Roofing

Other roofers warned me S&S would give a low bid to get the job, then jack up price for "hidden" damage...(that everyone else spotted and quoted fro). But I took a chance, cuz a guy at work recommended them. (Do they pay for referrals?) Should have checked their 2 star Yelp and Google reviews. Sure enough within 24 hours of tearing off the old roof...their bill jumped significantly! They had no photos to show the extra "work" they did. (who doesn't have a cell phone to take photos?). When pressed for proof, they said they would charge me to remove the new roofing to show the extra repairs. When I complained about being charged for undocumented work, they threatened legal action THE FOLLOWING MORNING if not paid that day! They left their dumpster for a week after tear off, and then blamed my renters when it was overfilled! They demanded I crawl in there to remove the non-roofing items!!! (My renters actually took photos of area residents using the dumpster, as S and S left it unlocked and sitting in the driveway for a week after tear off!) Cute TV ads...lousy company. I'm looking for a new roof for another property now. Not even considering S&S Roofing. Neither should you.

S and S Roofing is a professional and very knowledgeable company. I was provided with the information I needed to understand the process and to make informed decisions. My questions and concerns were encouraged and responded to quickly and courteously.

I had questions about venting with and quot;turtlesand quot; and was pleasantly surprised with a more efficient and attractive option at no additional cost. I made a few changes, added custom trim and cedar shingles to my dormers and it was not treated as a problem. S and S made adjustments to my bid to meet my changing requests. The bid was easy to understand and very fair, it was kept low, to no additional charge, there were no hidden cost, no surprises. S and S roofing was very flexible and helpful from start to finish.

Although this is messy work the workers kept this to a minimum and they cleaned up my yard and side lot everyday and left nothing behind. They worked well together, showed up on time and made sure the work was done right. They used trailers for debris instead of a dumpster.

The foreman, actually came back a couple of times after the job was completed to look at the work again and used a magnetic sweeper to pick up any stray nails/ metal bits and even picked up trash the wind had deposited in my yard. That is dedication to the customer and the work. The office staff were great to work with as well, they were informed about my job and the workers assigned to it, also knowledgeable about the process and materials.



I was really dreading this re-roofing, I know nothing about roofing. S and S roofing made the installation of my roof easy, beautiful and affordable. This company knows their craft and customer service.

They are amazing. First of all they were high quality. I used to be a general contractor. They were medium priced and then what happened was, they screwed up. And you always find out something about somebody when there is a problem. You don't know as much when there is not a problem. And they fatherly covered all the expenses without even blinking. It was pretty close to a $1000. And their job was like about $13000. So I doubt they made much money, if they made money at all. They did what was right. And I've actually referred friends to them and they've had similar good experiences. I've already used them again.

,It went well from start to finish and they cleaned up a considerable mess caused by stripping the old shingles off the roof. When they started to replace the roof covering the garage, they noticed that the original builder did not extend a section of particle board to the edge of the sofit. This created the conditions for a slow seepage of water into the garage. They replaced this section at no additional cost. I would highly recommend S and S Roofing to anyone needing roof repairs or replacement.
