I received a quote and was told they would finance me up to the full amount. I did receive a little from insurance but I was told I could finance by my salesperson with "no problem." They could not get me financed with the company they wanted, so they said, but then got me approved with a lender that was going to charge me a $2000 service fee ( which they stated is passed on to the customer) and an outrageous interest rate. I refused and said I would work on getting a HELOC. They were hounding me and I kept them in the loop at all times. I even had a delay in getting a document from my mortgage company because it had been sold and they needed to find it. Needless to say they said it would take 14 days. I let Rooftek know. I then got it submitted and had to wait and Rooftek threatened to put a lien on my house. I was then approved and told Rooftek I was approved at which time they said great I hope we can settle today. It still had to go to underwriting. I was in the middle of getting the money to pay them and they put a lien on my house. I could not get my HELOC until the lien was released. They made it a huge hassle to even get a 30 day payoff notice so that I could still get my HELOC and pay them. In addition, they charged me $2000 for attorneys fees and I feel like they just wanted an extra $2000 as they had already tried to get it from me with bogus financing. I would not recommend them to anyone as they are sketchy in what they say and do. I did not get pictures of my roof as they promised and they took all the extra lumber that was dropped off as part of my roofing contract.

Horrible scheduling every time they say they are going to come they either no show or call and reschedule. Terrible experience work is still not done and the company is not professional at all. Would highly recommend looking for a different roofing company when looking for roof repairs.

Zero rating if I could. Read the other bad reviews on yelp and there's a common theme: unfinished roof, roof leaking and interior damage, horrible workmanship, and deplorable customer experience starting immediately after you pay and sign the contract - they're great and responsive on the front end but after they get your money it's downhill to h*** from there. They went 7 months without responding to our unfinished roof, 2 months without response to an active leak. When we refused to submit our final payment because of the interior damage and unfinished roof and after making over 20 attempts to contact them but no response, their upper management jerk Harold Jameson emailed at 10pm unleashing their lawyer and directing his team to file liens...no attempts to first try to work it out with their customer or address the issue. They must buy their Google reviews but don't let the 1.5k five stars fool you. Another well known roofing company that came out to fix their damage (at our expense) told me Rooftek is gaining a bad reputation with their shoddy work because they are trying to boost volume sales so they can be sold to private equity - but they can't keep up with the QUALITY or quantity of sales so they send out unqualified roofers and then slam you with the damages when your new 20k roof is leaking. They are in active litigation with several of their reviewers on yelp...there are probably many more. Run run run from this franchise, especially this salt lake one owned by Jake. Worst vendor ever. Reporting to every site I can to try to prevent this happening to others

7/18/22 I am very pleased with my new roof. Everyone I interacted with at Rooftek was professional, courteous and helpful. The job was finished in one day and the clean-up great.

Worst experience as a home owner in 20+ years. They are storm chasers looking for a dollar and don’t care about the customer. They strong armed us to close the deal with used, cheap car sales tactics. They damaged others parts of our home that they wouldn’t fix or discount the price so I could get them fixed myself. Right now we are in a costly court battle trying to settle our differences. They replaced the drip edge and gutters with the wrong color (not even remotely close and they won’t acknowledge their mistake). I had my insurance adjuster and another roofer come tell me what they saw and thought, they both said, Rooftek messed up bug and should make it right, however, neither of them have heard anything good about Rooftek. They said good luck and Sue them for everything, because they obviously messed up big! Again, worst decision I’ve ever made as a home owner. Heed my warning, Do NOT use them. See their Yelp reviews too. Horrible company. Their contract says they’ll do a ****** job and not be liable.

On September Labor Day 2020, Salt Lake area experienced one of their cold snap windstorms that easily takes out trees and damages roofs. Our aging roof lost enough shingles for an insurance claim and we called around for a contractor. Many were already swamped with calls after the storm and couldn't come out until a couple months into winter. RoofTek was the only one that offered to come out for a quote sooner than others and didn't seem annoyed about it. We were able to to add on extra jobs like replacing the fascia board, wrap and replace the gutters that were just as old as the roof. Due to the Covid restrictions and supply chain interruptions, the installation crew wasn't able to get to our roof until the middle of January, but it was mild enough weather to do it. They didn't mind taking off the unused swamp cooler and a really old roof vent that did nothing. They added in more attic/roof vents to my 1954 house to improve the attic circulation. They also replaced a lot of roof decking that was very water damaged from the previous owners that installed the drip edge and water barrier incorrectly. It was a soggy mess of splinters. The roofing crew tore off and replaced my entire roof in one day. It was amazing how quickly and efficiently they did it. The team to replace the fascia board, wrap and gutters were able to come out about 3 weeks later, and also finished that work in the day. I was able to call the company any time and ask about the progress on my contract, and they were always pleasant to talk to and give me satisfactory answers on the timeline. The pricing is reasonable compared to the quality work they offer. It was about what I expected compared to the cost of my parent's roof the previous time a windstorm made a mess. I'd gladly refer me neighbors to this company.

Really well, the team was extremely clean, professional and used a lot of care when performing the service.

Perhaps the worst experience I have ever encountered, Six months and nine days to finish the job, Ten weeks to just get the gutters done. Bushes, trees, flowers flood light and railings destroyed. Tar, nails, trash everywhere. Flashing was hanging loose in most areas. If this is what we can see one would wonder what the quality of work is beneath. The worst part for me is no apologies were rendered or any kind of contact from them what so ever after multiple attempts. Don't walk away from them Run! Horrid experience all the way around.

The crew was very attentive to my needs and took extra care to make sure our yard (my wife's flowers) was taken care during the replacement of the roof and afterward did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I was very impressed with the attention our project manager provided and the support I have received from the sales staff.

Wasn't home had a Dr Appointment. They came and did the job And finished before i got home cleaned up and was done.

They did a very good job and I would hire them again.

They finished the entire roof except for 3 shingles. They said they would be back the next day so I paid them in full. Of course, they have NEVER come back to finish. I have called 5 times. I have been nice and polite through this xcept for the 5th call where I left an angry message. I have asked for a supervisor to call me and no one has called me back - Ever!

We went through the bidding process and selected Roof Tec after they came in as the cheapest and looked to be of good quality. The sales person was super friendly, responsive, and helpful. Before we accepted the bid they said they would be able to keep our gutters on the house. I confirmed this at least a half dozen times before they actually started the work. The day of them doing the project a rep came and knocked on our door saying they wouldn’t be able to reuse the gutters and the best they could do was recommend somebody that could install new ones that we would have to pay for. No discount cause they messed up our gutters and couldn’t fulfill their end of the agreement. My next big issue is the amount of nails they left behind. So now I am out not only all my gutters but also two tires and counting. I work fire and am gone all the time for work and the pics included aren’t even half the number of nails she has found around the house since they finished and left. Would not use this company again or recommend them.

The salesman was well informed and helpful. The wait after I chose to go ahead was about one month. I have a 1500 sf manufactured home with a pitched roof and the work was done in about 3 hours with modern charcoal shingles and included all new modern rooftop vents. (By modern, I mean a different type than the original but providing the same service.) The project manager came after the weekend and finished cleanup, part of which was to use a metal detector to find nails in the grass adjacent to the roof. He took photos of the work as well and discussed the findings which was considered good. He accepted a credit card payment and emailed a receipt. I found the process to be smooth and trouble free. Any questions were promptly dealt with. I am pleased that I no longer have to worry about the condition of the roof anymore. My salesman was Blair Arnell and the project manager was Conrad Hildreth. I appreciate their service and that of their crew.

Rooftek came in as the lowest bidder and did a fantastic job in one day. The crew came exactly as planned. They were courteous and vey professional. Conrad identified himself as my POC and worked closely with me and the roofers to cover every detail of the installation, Cleanup after they finished was perfect and we love our new roof! Thank you Rooftek!

It went great. I'd definitely recommend them to anybody. I would hire them again.
