The contractors were extremely knowledgable.  They cleaned up after themselves and  made sure everything was done to perfection.  I had hired an independent electrician and the cabinet installers helped them to understand how to do their job correctly and professionally.  I love the finished product.  They couldn't have done a better job or have been more helpful to me.  I highly recommend them to anyone who wants cabinets removed and installed with a perfect result.  The office staff was equally friendly and helpful.

Day one.. our installer didn’t have a copy of the layout.  He said it was on his phone and too small to
read.   We supplied him with our original layout and specs but changes had been made since that was printed so we had to tell him what needed to be done.
Instead of a 2 day installation as we were told,  it took 6 days and they still were not done.  Our installer spent much of his time texting.
The installer left on the 5th day without checking the large corner lazy susan.  I cut away the cable ties which had them secure for shipping and the lazy susan wouldn’t turn as it was hitting the back wall.
After 5 days of installation, we were told the crown molding didn’t fit.  Home Depot had to order a two inch filler because when RAR did the initial measuring, they did not do it correctly and the crown did not reach the ceiling.
The open cabinet above the fridge has a crack in the upper right hand corner which the installer said happened when he put it up. He didn’t bother to tell Home Depot to order a new one so by the time we went through Home Depot and Thomasville to get a replacement cabinet, it took over 6 weeks to receive it.
The installer did not want to put in the range hood and said we needed to hire another party to do so as he was not experienced in installing them.  It took two phone calls to RAR in order to get this resolved.  We had paid for RAR to do that part of the installation.
The hole the installer cut for  the microwave cabinet was not done correctly and it caused our microwave to burn up.  We replaced the microwave and had another RAR installer come back and put in a new trim kit.  However, the first installer had not cut the hole straight and now there is ¼ inch difference in height between the left and right side.
When we attempted to put the stove back in place, it was too tight.  When the granite installers came, they had to rework the cabinet, otherwise we would never have been able to get the oven out.  The wall board that RAR had put in to separate the dishwasher from the oven was not straight, and the base had been glued to the floor and we were unable to move it.  The granite installers had to work the peninsula further away from the stove to give us 1/8 inch.
When the granite was being installed by a different contractor, they told me that they were having problems because the cabinets were not level.  They tried to build it up enough but there was still a discrepancy and unlevel areas.
When the backsplash was being installed by another company,  the tile contractor noticed some cracks in the granite that were not there when it was installed.  They are right over the area that was the not level.   The granite will have to be inspected by a professional to see if the integrity has been compromised.
The light rail that goes on the bottom of the upper cabinets was put on upside down because the installer didn’t want to take the time to adjust the upper cabinet doors. Now the trim sticks out further than it should.
Cabinet doors were put on incorrectly and had to be reordered and redone, twice.   When the second installer cut the crown
molding, he cut it too short and then tried to fill in an 1/8 inch gap with a wood filler pencil.  RAR didn’t think this was a problem.  I had to take photos of the mess and send it to Home Depot who in turn sent it to RAR.  Home Depot ordered new molding.  We have been so unhappy with their work that we have hired a different contractor to come and put up the new molding when it arrives.  We do not want RAR back in our home again.
They started installing our cabinets on Oct 2nd 2014.  It is now Nov 18th 2014 and it is still not complete as we are still waiting for the new molding to come,  so we can have it replaced by a different contractor.
Although there were no issues with Home Depot, we cannot in good faith recommend their installers as long as they use RAR.

RAR Contracting were excellent. They were super meticulous. We had some things that they needed to come back and they were timely in coming back. They were professional and very knowledgeable. They did a really great job and we were very pleased.
