Old School Plumbing

I'm comfortable with the work they performed. The serviceman was quite efficient and effective. I've used them for several years. I don't know how I got to them, but I signed up with Old School. A father and son owns it. They're honest. I don't know if they're good people but they did good work. They didn't horse around and did what they were supposed to do.

My home, where my son lives, had a leaky toilet. The seal between the commode and waste line had started leaking and they came out and fixed it. They charged a fair amount. You don't get anything for nothing. It started leaking again and they came back out and fixed it for nothing. I don't know that it was partially their installation, I thought the guy did a good job, but there was some other junk too. But they made good their work. When you need a plumber, you need a plumber. That is what they sold me on them. They let me watch and explained what they were doing. They did it. They knew what was wrong, and they fixed it. When they came back I don't think it was the workmanship why they had to come back. I think the part, the wax seal, had an issue. The wax seal you put between the commode and waste line, one of the bolts had broken off or something like that. They came back and made it good, so I was pleased. I am glad they came. They were prompt. I understood what they wanted to do, and didn't do any magic or anything else. We went along and he said here is the problem, here is what I am going to do; and he did it. These guys are tradesmen. They are a little rough cut but they are good guys. I like them.

I have had them several times. I have enjoyed their service. They're professional. Their rates aren't cheap, but their fair. They do good work. They are a small outfit. They're good people. They do good work. They are honest I think. They explain what they are doing. I like them. Another company wasn't available so I used them. I have used them before. I didn't have a problem. I would use them again. If I had other plumbing needs I will probably call them again. I think it was the next day they came out. I called in the afternoon. They were professional. I think it's a father a couple of sons. They are kind of rough cut guys, but they came in and told us what they were going to do. Looked at it and explained what they did, did it and got out. They  had work to do and that's what we expected. Everybody is looking for a cheap price, but I thought the price was fair. I wanted the work done and I got it. I didn't try to quibble with them on the price. I told them what I needed to do. These guys will tell you what they're doing and they do it. They were due a little earlier in the morning and something happened; they called right away and said the previous call was going to take longer. We are retired so it wasn't a big deal. They called and said they were going to be late, unavoidable. I will use them again.

Kim described the options we had (which were somewhat limited because of the older piping) and fixed it promptly.

I was very happy with the work and that it only took 3 hours and there was no mess.  I would certainly use them again and have told others in the condo building about them.

Everything went great.  I called to have one leaky shut-off valve replaced and was quoted a fair price over the phone.  When Nate arrived he suggested that all three vales should be replaced.  He changed all three and only charged for the additional parts, no extra labor.  Nate did a great job.  He was quick and friendly and I will definitely recommend him to friends any family and will use Old School Plumbing when ever I need plumbing services in the future.

Called Old School and described the problem over the phone (pipes shaking throughout the house when water was turned off (showers, toilets etc). The plumber was familiar with that type of problem and said it was likely a cheap pressure valve was installed and ask me to go into the furnace room and look at the valve and see if it had a black plastic cap. I checked and noticed indeed it did. Plumber told me that when that was installed the installer saved $25 dollars by using that cheap valve and he would bring out a all metal valve to replace it. I was leaving town in two days and the plumber worked with his schedule so that he could do it before I left town. Fixed it the next day with no rush charge.
Very Happy Will Call Them Again

He was very professional tried to save me as much money as he could. No kidding he charged me 175.00 for a job that was estimated to be $1900 by a major plumbing company in SLC. His work was excellent fast and professional. I will never go to another plumber ever again. old school plumbing!

Kim has done a number of jobs for our family. Replaced indoor faucets, fixed leaks, replaced outside faucets, etc. He is always professional, prompt, efficient, and gives a reasonable estimate. I can't tell you what a relief it is to have someone to call that I trust and know will do a great job. I always get a call back on the same day I leave a message with him, and if it is an emergency, he makes every effort to deal with it immediately.

My renters were happy to not have to go without hot water for the weekend.

Showed up on time, 2 guys because of the size of the job. Got it done in 3.5 hours. Reasonably priced. I'd call them again.

Fantastic! I originally called for just the water heater. He asked if there were any other problems he could help with while there so I pointed out the other issues. He fixed them all for a great price.

Old School Plumbing came really quickly after I called them and they came and closed the water and he came and opened the water and took it out. He took everything out and he had to cut all the pipes and remove all the stuff and seal the pipes again. He took the water softener with him because it was leaking. I was surprised at the low price and he had had to cut the pipes and do a lot of work for a reasonable amount of money.

Replace multiple faucets/shower head; fix toilet; fixed leak from outside faucet. This was two visits and I honestly cannot remember exactly what we paid, but I do remember I was pleasantly surprised at the cost and sooo happy with service. Great guy and resposive and helpful with anything. HIGHLY recommend this company!
