furniture sales
 + -1 moreMy wife and I consigned some furniture there with an asking price of $7,500.00. The owner sold the furniture for less than $2000.00. We were never contacted to approve the lower price and would have declined if asked. When we contacted the owner about this we were told that our contract allows her to sell any items at "market value". It seems that she gets to determine "market value" based on how badly she wants to sell your stuff. It turns out that we have no such contract with this store. We contacted the owner and were given the run around with her telling us she would "make it right". I finally pinned her down and told her that we wanted the money we were owed since the property was not hers to sell at whatever price she saw fit, and we never had a chance to approve or disapprove of the price. She declined and now I am meeting with an attorney to determine the best course of action.
Description of Work: We consigned some furniture there.
