technician said that icemaker would need to be replaced due to internal failure. The part needed to be ordered and was a week out. While waiting for the part to come in we replaced the water filter in the refrigerator and the ice maker started working. When the technician returned to replace the unit we told him it was working now and asked if he thought we should go forward with the replacement. He never really offered any advice or gave us any other options. He basically just stood around waiting until we said to go ahead as planned. He was nice and clean cut , but he seemed to lack some experience. It was half the price of a new refrigerator to replace the ice maker .

Although I had already told them what the issue was and the make they showed up to the job without any parts. Then told me it would cost $320 for a part that was $18 on Amazon. Charged me $95 for absolutely nothing! Rip off.

I had an appointment with the Tooele, Utah, Franchise office between 8-10 am and they never showed up and never called. I called them at 10:30 to find out what happened and they said they scheduled someone who's day off it was and they could not fix the problem immediately and instead wanted to reschedule. I wasted 2.5 hours of my day waiting for them and now I still have a broken appliance for my tenant. When I told the secretary I was a busy man and didn't have time to wait around for professionals to not show up she said that they were very busy in their office. This remark showed such lack of quality control and customer service that I don't know what to say. I am beyond upset with their unprofessionalism. I am asking for a full refund of the appointment fee and will never use them again. I would also love a check for the 2.5 hours they wasted of my time, too.

It went well, he was fast and professional. He had the drain pump we needed in his truck and also repaired a broken seal spring that had rusted off without an extra call out fee.

Our freezer quite freezing. Being new to the area, I signed in to Angies List and found Mr Appliance of Salt Lake/Tooele. Their office explained the diagnostic charge to me. The technicians were able to come to our house later that same day. I received an email update as to arrival time that included a picture of the technician coming to our home. I was also called with an update as to arrival time. The technicians showed us two major issues with our freezer. They recommended replacement rather than repair, given the estimated cost of all repairs on this 20 year old original Maytag. We appreciated the honesty very much. I would call on them again, if/when needed.

The technician Matt, determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. He provided me with a quote and I decided that this old fridge wasn't worth the cost of a new compressor. Matt also noted that the wheels on the fridge were broken and did not risk damaging the kitchen floor by yanking the fridge out. The diagnostic fee was what was quoted. I appreciated receiving a text and email to update me on when the technician would arrive and his picture.

The technician was on time and professional. He did a good job at diagnosing the issue with my freezer. He also did a good job at checking out the other refrigerator. They helped me to know what to do with my freezer. The repair cost was a lot and I chose to buy a new freezer instead.

I'm giving this company an F in quality because the diagnosis of the issue with my washer was done improperly causing me to spend money and time on parts that were not needed. The tech told me that I would need a control panel board without putting the board through diagnostics. They told me that they could not get the part from their suppliers or Maytag because its no longer being made and I would need to buy a new washer. When the Tech left. I made one phone call and was able to find the part and pick it up. When I asked the technician how much he would charge to replace it I was told $197.00. When I asked the man at the parts store how difficult it would be to replace he gave me some advice to do it myself. I replaced the plug and play part myself in about 15 minutes and saved the $197.00 that Mr. Appliance was going to charge me for such a simple task. Turns out the new board did not resolve my issue. I put the original board back in and ended up using  a different Appliance repair company to diagnose and do the job right and save me the additional expense of buying a new washer (thanks Dans appliance repair). It ended up that the pump needed to be turned on through service mode to drain the water from the drum because my son had overloaded the washer and it couldn't complete the cycle it was in. IT's working just fine now.

I am out the cost of a $225 part because I could not return it once the package was opened.

Mr. Appliance did refund me the price of the service call after I called and complained to the service manager but would not split the cost of the new control board with me even though they told me that was the problem and it was not.

Had the technician run proper diagnostics the problem would have been resolved with the service call. The Tech that came out was polite and clean but just not familiar with this type of washer.

I had Mr. Appliance do an evaluation of a VIking Stove at a home we were buying (last week of October, we closed on the home Nov 11, 2014) as the inspector noted a burner that wasn't working and there were concerns that the oven wasn't working correctly. They ended up fixing the burner, but said the oven was just fine. However, we were having significant remodeling done on the home, so we didn't move in for three months. We moved in this week (Feb 11) and I couldn't get the self-cleaning portion on the large oven to work. I could get it to work on the small oven. I called the Viking store and they couldn't help me, but referred me to Mr. Appliance again. I asked for trouble-shooting over the phone but was told they could not provide this. I was told that likely they would not charge me again due to the fact that it was evaluated just over three months ago and hadn't been used since (no one was living at the home until remodeling done).
When the technician arrived he just turned on the Self cleaning and it worked fine. He said that I can't turn on the self clean on the small oven and the large oven at the same time. I asked why no one would just spend 20 seconds and help me trouble shoot this over the phone. He said that they don't do that. I was shocked when he now requested another $85 service fee since the woman on the phone said they'd likely not charge me. The worst part is that he said and quot;I am not allowed to leave your home until you pay me.and quot; And is stood there with his arms folded and body language that he would not leave my kitchen or my home. This made me very uncomfortable and truthfully somewhat frightened as I was home alone with my young child and a strange man who I could not get to leave my home. I then called Mr. Appliance and spoke with the owner Sarah. I stated that it was not consistent that I was told I wouldn't have to pay and I was now being threatened by the technician. She said, and quot;Sorry, I have no way of figuring out who told you that.and quot; and basically confirmed that the technician would not physically leave until he was paid. I ended up giving her my credit card number, but truthfully wish I had the wherewithall to just call the police to have this man leave my home.
It is difficult to have unknown people into your home and difficult to schedule these things when my husband is home, since he works during the day. However, I will certainly be wary of having anyone come into my home without my husband or another adult home with me. This was extremely uncomfortable and horribly unproffessional.
Admittedly the serviceman was knowledgable about the Viking stove and identified the problem immediately, however the store policy of being near physically threatening is absolutely intolerable to me.

It did not go well. Although the initial problem (melting electronics on a high priced Viking oven) was diagnosed and repaired properly, they alsp replace a panel that was defective as the lettering kept wearing off. In the course of the panel change-out, the interior oven lights stopped working and an oven-on indicator light failed to work. The interior oven light worked properly before the service appointment yet the technician refused to ackowledge that it could be related to the work he had done. He offered to trouble shoot the cause but discouraged me from doing so making clear that the cost to restore the interior oven light would be very high. Sadly, the Viking Company was equally unconcerned about both the nature of the problem (quality of their product ) or my experience with the repair company that they referred me to.

Bought a new dryer and there was a problem with a factory-made part, Lowe's sent out Kevin Todd from Mr. Appliance to fix it. He wasn't able to fix it, they had to order a new part from Samsung but he was extremely courteous, helpful and made suggestions for ways to use the dryer efficiently. He even asked if I had any other appliances that needed fixing at no charge (Lowe's paid for the service call). I would definitely call them again, he was really great.
