We had my mother's wedding ring that we had inherited.  We wanted to separate the diamonds and distribute to our siblings.  We went to Angie's list because we were concerned about trustworthiness and integrity in receiving our diamonds back.  We  wanted him to remove the diamonds in front of us so that we could make sure none of them were switched.  Joe was very professional and friendly.  He was accommodating and did as we asked; all the while,  performing the service for free.  We also had a gold chain repaired, which he did while we waited, and charged us less than we expected, and did a great job.  We've recommended all our siblings to go to him for setting their newly-acquired diamonds.  Thank you, Joe!

The work was beautifully done. Joe, who is a master jeweler, made some wonderful suggestions. In the past, the smaller diamonds had become loose and several were lost and required replacement. He set the diamonds in three channel bands that look beautiful but also safeguards the stones.  He also had to add some small diamonds. Joe clearly has a passion and takes great pride in his work. 
Both Joe and his wife, Sandra, are a pleasure to work with. All work is completely done in house and delivered on time. My one carat diamond was given to me the day I dropped off the rings and was placed into the setting as I watched Joe do the work on the pick up date. 
 I have already used McKay Diamonds Jewelers a second time to repair and clean my son's ring---again, beautiful work!

I was told by another jewerly shop that the ring could not be sized down by two sizes because it would change the shape of the ring too much and that the inlaid stones might pop out due to so much change.  However I read the great reviews on Angie's List for McKay and decided to give them a try.  The owner assured me that they could indeed size the ring with no difficulty, which they did.   Due to an error on my part (not on the part of McKay!), I had to return for a slight adjustment.  I insisted on paying them for the additional work, but they would not accept any additional money, even though the additional work was my fault!  I was very pleased with their workmanship and service and would definitely use them again.

 family owned business.  Very orientated in jewelry, jewelry design and repairs.  We would highly recommend them.
