MAVERICK CONSTRUCTION

We started remodeling with Maverick contracted to complete in 3 months. Detailed drawings were complete, supplies and fixtures spaced, and most items ordered at the onset. Craig was unable to organize suppliers and sub contractors to complete the job in a timely manner. Originally Craig did not want to sign a contract; that should have been a big red flag. As we asked Craig to honor the contract obligations, he responded to us with belligerence, tantrums, and verbal abuse. After five months we have a job half done, and a major subcontractor failure due in part to lack of oversight. We have fired Craig for default of contract. As to specific work: Craig typically showed 3 or 4 days a week, at 10 or 11am, and left by 3 or 4pm. Craig s hands on work framing, replacing windows and doors are good quality. Subcontractors and suppliers that he uses are a mixed bag, some good, and some poor. Peripheral damage to walls, furniture and fixtures became excessive.
