"This customer called us for a walk in tub. They gave us a deposit. We set up a time to install the tub and told the customer we would be there between 9 & 10.the installers showed up at 9:10am. The man of the house came out using every profanity ever written and told the installer to get off his property or he would call the police !! Because they were 10 min late and to never come back. In short it took us some time to find another install crew. The day the new crew to start basically the same thing happened . We wanted at that time to give the deposit back but the wife still wanted the tub. We talked the installers to come back the next week and not listen to the profanity of the husband . We finally got the tub installed. When we were checking to see if all worked , the electrician had not hooked up the breaker and could not come back until the next day. When the electrician got there the husband meet him at the door calling every name inI the book and kicked him off his property not allowing him to hook up the power. We then received a call telling us that the husband ripped the tub out ! We could pick it up when we gave there deposit back. We have paid more out to installers and electricians than there deposit was. The customer stills owes us for the tub. We offered to have the electrician finish but they would not allow any one to complete the work. In all the years we have been installing tubs we have never had a complaint. These people must of had buyers remorse or no money to Finnish paying for the tub. No person should have to put up with the verbal abuse this man gave our installers. We have offered to give them there deposit back if they will pay the installers and the electricians for there time and materials. There response was more verbal abuse."
The tub has never functioned the way it was supposed to. It blows COLD air instead of hot air which they ignored when told about it a year ago, and now we get only warm water when we run water into the walk-in tub, even though we can turn the sink faucet on and receive scalding hot water. I contacted the foreman of the job the first of December 2013 and reported this problem, but no one has come to see what the cause is. He told me that he would send someone within the next day or two, and I stayed home to make sure I didn't miss them. Also a year ago in January, they came to see how the bathroom looked; we had asked for a new cabinet door because the one they installed looked awful. They took the door to the manufacturer and he said that they would replace it. We haven't received a new door as of this date, Jan. 8, 2014 (a year later).
We would never use them again for ANYTHING and most certainly will not recommend the American Home Services company to anyone. It has been miserable using a jetted tub that blows cold air and does not use hot water.
