Dixon Information provides asbestos testing (closest category was "asbestos removal").
In Utah, the testing company cannot be the same company that removes it. If you contact an asbestos removal company, they can give you some names of testors. I found Dixon Information by other means.
I have an older home (1928) that had paper wrapped ventilation ducts. When I bought the home, the inspector noted "probably asbestos". It wasn't a big deal then, but is a big deal today. Before I could finish the basement, I had to have that paper tested. Pretty simple process. I took a small sample and placed it in a sandwich bag. I took the sample to Dixon Information and filled out a single sheet of information. For $25, I had results back the next day. Quick. Simple. Exactly what I needed.
