Everything was fine but the AC didn’t work. Turned out to be a loose wire. He also showed me an electrical switch that was showing its age on the unit so I had him swap it out. He had the part and I didn’t want any problems with hot weather coming. Overall an excellent experience and he wore his mask and gloves!

The technician and service manager responded to a request I had after a leak was detected despite a biannual service inspection contract. They immediately came and spent hours troubleshooting the entire house and finding the leaks then returned and spent 6 hours meticulously fixing and double checking each and every CSST connection in the entire house. They pressure tested the gas system until everything was perfectly secure and there was zero leakage throughout the system. They then did an entire tune up of my HVAC system as a courtesy and charged me for one hour of work. Basically, they took a mediocre and frustrating situation that I could never have attempted to handle personally ( and I’m great with basic handyman skills) and did the best job I could have ever expected because we had been customers for a long time and they cared about fixing the problems; even when a couple of the items may have been out of their financial responsibility. I was truly impressed and it is how I have always run my business so it made a big impression and impact on me. I’d like to personally thank Ryan who did all the work, Jerry who authorized the work, and Denise and Spenser who were also both helpful in scheduling and payment processing etc. I would highly recommend Design Comfort to anyone as an honest and responsible and professional service and plumbing, furnace and air conditioning sales installation and contract upkeep company. If you run into a problem and communicate the issue, they fix the problem and are straight forward with the limits of the job and the levels of expectation and the cost and benefits to you. Very good. The only issue is that the service provider did not have a filter available, so I have had to order replacement filters from Amazon, I will have to replace it myself - no small task for a not mechanically inclined 82 year old.

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. Please just skip using this company.. there are so many to use from. This company allowed my ex-husband to call and verbally authorize service to an address that we had sold months earlier. They allowed someone who did not legally purchase a service contract with them to charge for a visit on my account. I found this out when their technician B- was at my new home providing a service I had paid for two years prior. When I began to question the technician about the billing discrepancies, he became angry. He refused to listen to what I was talking about when I pulled up the fraudulent billing for the service I don't live at or own. He accused me of using profanity, got physically in my face, left our house slamming the door and sped out of our condo complex. I was the original person to call this company for service, and have paid for all the service calls and contracts to our old home. All the charges and contracts have been signed by me and charged to a credit card that I have owned separate from my ex-husband. I have taken financial responsibility for all of the repairs this company has performed. They now want me to prove I legally own the service contract. HUH???? I find a thread in everything I write written about this company... they seem to pass the buck on everything that happens, and then blame the customer. I dont find these people to be willing to admit fault or ever try to make things right when they drop the ball. The most common tactic they take is to shame and bully- never taking accountablility. The technician argued with me about replacing the part. His theory was to wait a year, or until the next summer, and I told him that I wanted it replaced immediately. It took them two weeks to order, receive, and then replace the part that was needed for the air conditioner. I have been using Design Comfort for about 30 years now and within the last 1.5 years, it seems that their quality of work and professionalism have slowly started to deteriorate.

Called first thing in the morning. They sent an estimator who arranged installation within hours. Price was more than expected but used Angie List Coupon which helped a little. Installers were experienced, patient with questions and free with explanations during the installation. Installation was clean and well organized to fit in small furnace room. Would consider for other work as we may relocate laundry room soon.

We have worked with Matt before so he is familiar with our properties. He is courteous, smart and very thorough. He was on time and if any issues came up he was very clear at explaining the issues. We continue to book maintenance plans knowing that by keeping the units well maintained and serviced we avoid larger charges due to negligence.
