Dad's Tree Service

Scott gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone for moving a tree from one property to another after seeing a photo of the tree to be moved.  His workers arrived the next day as scheduled and were able to move the tree without damaging my lawn despite recent heavy rainfall.  They were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied and that the tree got where I wanted it even though they worked overtime.  I would definitely hire Dad's Tree Service again.

Initial job was good. Follow up was terrible, did not respond to phone calls and did not show up when scheduled.
Had to have the work performed by different contractor.

They came out and cut down a few trees, but i believe one of the crew members were high. He was supposed to grind the stumps but they wouldn't because they said it was not in the order. They ended up coming back and somehow got oil all over the driveway. Were not very professional. they had to keep coming back to finish the work because the previous time they came they did half job by leaving pieces of the stumps still in the ground.

I had permission from my neighbor to park their equipment on her drive strip. They got oil from their leaky truck on her driveway. They also broke her sprinkler head and one of mine. They refused to grind the stumps at first because they said it was not in the order. They came back later and ground them but did an incomplete job and had to come out again. Lots of arguing on the job between workers. Stumps not ground deep enough to be able to plant again.

When I call for a quote, I left a message and my calls were returned promptly. Scott came out and checked out our big, old mulberry tree. I have to say that price was not the only reason I chose to go with Dad's Tree Service. The main reason I chose this company was that I felt Scott wanted to trim the tree to help it give us more years. I had a prior quote that was cheaper, but the attitude toward my old tree was very negative. 
Work was scheduled quickly, the men were on time and very pleasant. They did their work, and a lot of this tree had to be trimmed. They left my yard looking as though nothing had happened. Very good cleanup! I love that.
Unfortunately, I was busy with a toddler, and could not check their work before they left. There were some branches left that were touching wires. I feel awful that I wasn't able to just step out as I know they would have made it right on the spot. However, I had to call Scott and he had a man out the next morning, first thing and did what we wanted. 
I have to say, the way they left the tree initially was perfectly shaped, but I have a 90 year old neighbor who is just frantic about my big tree anywhere near the wires.  I want him to be comfortable more than a perfectly shaped tree :)
Scott was great to deal with. The men who came out did a very good job. I will definitely be calling Dad's again.
I am happy that the lack of communication at the end of the job didn't turn into any kind of a hassle. Scott could have taken a different attitude toward me, and I am very grateful he was so courteous.

Scott was responsive and quick to come out and provide a competitive quote to the other tree services I brought in to quote the job.  The crew came a day earlier than originally scheduled, but I was able to handle them coming early.  The crew was professional and efficient.  The completely cleared all 4 trees and trimmed the large box elder in a single afternoon.  They cleaned up all the debris.  They were friendly and gave me ample opportunity to review the work after completion.

We were happy with their work and felt that the price was fair.
