The furnace was repaired with the replacement of the ignitor.
The price for the replacement of the ignitor part was $146 plus the $45 diagnostic fee.
When the ignitor part was researched on-line, the part was only $23, making the part with installation of $146 seem EXTREMELY excessive!!

We had a problem with the air conditioner and they diagnosed the problem, asking to replace a part in the motor. They gave a price, advised what needs to be done and asked our permission to proceed with the same, which we agreed. They do fine. I do sometimes feel that, they charge a little more than what they need to, but I really don't know. It's always difficult to know the cost for repairs. I will use them in future.

They came out to see what I already had, and talked me through three options for my furnace replacement. I chose the 95% efficient unit since the rebates kept everything pretty much equal in terms of price. I'm planning on selling my home in the next year or so, and thereby didn't want to fork out for top of the line equipment. So, I chose a more mid-price product line. Nonetheless, Ryan showed up the following week, and spent two full days pulling out my old unit and replacing it with a new furnace and central air conditioning. The fit and finish was remarkable, and he was meticulous in his approach to all aspects of the job (and is apparently a 3rd generation HVAC technician). I am very happy with the product, the service and installation. I have no qualms with recommending Comfort Systems for any project along the Wasatch Front.

The crew was experienced -- 13 and 15 years with the company. They took time to instruct me on the homeowner maintenance items and on how to program the new thermostat. When the thermostat failed on the following morning, they were back at my house within 30 minutes to replace it.

My husband left a message for someone to call us back and someone called us to set up an appointment for someone to come give us an estimate that same business day. The day came for them to come give the estimate, which they did after work hours to accomodate our schedule and the man was all ready there measuring the outside of the house by the time we got there. He was very efficient and really knew what he was talking about. He explained all about the different types of furnaces and air units and what would work best for our house. He also took into consideration that we could get better units for cheaper then some of the less effecient units after all the rebates and tax credits. Once we decided on giving them the job they asked for a deposit and we set a date within a week for them to come do the install. One man came and did the work. He showed up right on time and didn't waste any time. It took two days because we were adding central air but it was all done in the estimated amount of time. They got all our paperwork back to us along with the paperwork for the rebates within the next week since submitting the rebate forms were time sensative. I could not be happier. Everything went perfect from beginning to end.

While there, he showed me how to program my box, was able to tell me the age of the furnace and was very professional and friendly. I would have them out again and would recommend their work.

Very well. They first determined that the old heater was out of compliance with exhaust/emission standards. Then they did an estimate for a new boiler. Upon accepting the proposal they scheduled the job for a week out, showed up on time, and completed the work.
