Charles Allen Painting Inc

Mr. Allen called shortly after we contracted him an we set up an appointment.  He came over the next day to see the area to be painted.  Large living room with 18 ft. ceiling, dining room, kitchen, mud/laundry room and small hallway.  He was very nice and quite knowledgeable.  We received an estimate by email the next day.  He would not be able to start for another 3 weeks, which was March 30th.
Mr. Allen and his "A team" arrived on time each day, carefully preparing the areas to be painted and got to painting. I consulted Mr. Allen about my some of my paint choices, we made some minor changes and that was that.
They finished 3 days later and we were very, very satisfied.

They showed up on time and did an outstanding job with NO mess, my unit looked just as nice when they were done as when they started.  They came with the prepared with drop cloths, tape, and paint, after they were completed they cleaned up all messes.
It was discovered that when the original carpet was installed the baseboards had then been repainted by the other  owner.  When the carpet was removed and wood floors installed it left a ridge of paint.  The workmen sanded this down so the baseboard were back to normal and then repainted.  This took extra time but they did not charge me extra and they cleaned up the mess very nicely.
I was very please with the work they did and would certainly have then back the next time I need repainting done.

I had problems with them. I had printed his 5% off coupon but it wasn’t the Big Deal so I never did get the follow up from Angie’s List asking if I would like to write a review. It kinda made me feel reticent to trust the reviews. The kind of problems I had with him were lack of communication and I didn’t even know that his guy was coming the day he was coming. They showed up at 8 AM on my first day off after my work week and I usually sleep in. I told them it was not good timing so they came back an hour later to do the work. Later when I had my floor tiles cleaned professionally as part of the restoration, the guy goes, “Who got this paint all over your floor?” Then I realized it was the painting guys who did it. Charles Allen himself came back because I was unsatisfied with the paint job that had been done. I told them to please take the level or blind down that’s on my kitchen window before they do that because he said no, it was so much trouble to get it down before and he’s not taking it down this time. He’s got blue paint on the white thing that pulls up and down the shade. He’s top rated and I feel like I’m the only one who notices these things. The pricing was fine, that’s why I chose him. He didn’t know how to take the level or the blind and you’d think someone who paints professionally would know how to do that. He was trying to jerk the thing out directly. I gave them their website and he looked at their site on his phone on how to remove the blind. He was trying to do it the wrong way the first time.

Charles painted my newly renovated laundry room. I have used him several times beginning in 2005. He is certainly a professional and his work shows it.

Charles and his crew are great. Fair pricing, on-time, no worries and helpful. When we need paint again - Charles is our guy.

Charles really did a fine job.  He and his men were very courteous.  They were very trustworthy and worked hard.  I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Charlie is simply an all around nice guy.  He was very courteous and
punctual and did an outstanding job for us.  His pricing is highly competitive and  he does impeccable work! We will definitely be using him again!

I just love them. He did a great job. In terms of working with people, he is very personable. If something needs to be fixed or if there is something you are worried about, you can talk to him about it; he will get it fixed.

I really like him.  He did $5000 worth work for me last year.  He painted my downstairs in the past.  He has done painting for me all these years.  He is very sweet.  He is well mannered.  If I tell him that this isn't done right, he will fix it.  He does a good job.

He is absolutely number 1. He goes out of his way to get the job done right. He is very friendly and has got great people working for him. He teaches his people. They take care of our home. We never have to worry about them stealing anything. He absolutely cares about the job and the people he does the job for. He is top notch. I would recommend him.
