"I am the owner of A & B Overhead. I was also the tech on site. So many things to say...... The customer is right in saying we arrived late to his house. Between traffic and construction, this was out of my control. Yet I maintained contact with the customer and asked if it was still okay to come on out, as we didn't mind. He seemed happy with the communication and accepted. Upon arrival, I gave the customer options for several different repairs, some not even including the springs. I informed him that his cables had slack in them and at the very least, I would recommend adding tension to the spring to prevent the cables coming off the drum, as they did earlier that day. So he could have chose other options. He stated in his review that he could have got the springs for $33. I can get tires much cheaper than what we all pay for them, but without the proper tools and experience, I couldn't put them on my vehicle. We pay for convenience. I propose that if this customer can get a garage door company to replace his springs for $33, I will refund every penny charged for this invoice. He stated to me in an e-mail that he had called other companies, and was told they could have done it cheaper. Of course they will say that. That is my direct competition. As for the comment about my asking if I could wash my hands, guilty as charged. My hands were dirty after fixing his garage, (go figure), and I asked him if I could use his bathroom to wash my hands. He gave me a dirty look and said no. I had some choice words, but I kept them to myself. After asking several times for a proposed solution to the problem, he said we could either refund him $150 by 3pm the next day or he would begin posting reviews all over about us. I replied that there is absolutely no way that we would be threatened into giving a refund. I do, in fact, stand by my invoice. I'm am not scared in the least to say that this review is bogus, and that this customer has been seriously spoiled by customer service from companies too scared to stand up when they are not wrong. There are companies that will charge less than mine for some repairs. There are also a great many that will charge much more. I regret doing business with this customer. But, what's done is done. I was told to look for bad reviews on a number of sites..... Well I don't see any on BBB, Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yelp, Yellow Pages, ect. Don't let me down!"
