He responded very quickly when I bought the Angie's List Deal and we scheduled service online. He arrived punctually, covered everything so my living room stayed clean, and cleaned the chimney. He gave us some suggestions about the fireplace blower insert and chimney cap, but did not try to up sell us on unordered extras. He was cheerful and pleasant.

Kurt Pearce provided a comprehnsive estimate and made strong arguments on the appropriate repairs and materials. Kurt was extremely courteous, professional and, as a consequence of the season and the qualify his work, a little overbooked. But that did not impact us too much - the snow slowed things down more than anything else. Once parts arrived everything was completed as promised and everything works like charm. Great company & Great service.

I had a great experience with A Clean Sweep.   They returned my call promptly and came out within a week.  Not only was the chimney cleaned, I also learned a few things about chimneys.  For example, I didn't realize they had liners and I learned that the back of my FP liner was cracked.  I opted for a steel insert for now, but will no doubt have to replace the liner in the future.  I would  will probably call this company again for chimney cleaning.

I called this company first part of May for cleaning the chimney. He came out when it stopped raining to look inside and decided not to clean but to replace chimney covers. He wrote up an estimate for $375 for one and $300 for the other. He wanted a check for 1/3 down and another for $50 service call. He had a sheet metal company make the cover for the gas burning chimney and was planning to build a form and come make the cement collar for the wood burning himself. Then when contacted he kept putting things off for weather, family illness, death in family, and to service others who were "squeaky wheels" first. It stopped raining June 13 and he showed up finally on July 7. He installed the one cover and could not do the other work because he forgot his cement and tools and it was too hot. He borrowed my paint and paintbrush to match the edge to the stucco. He put up the cover quickly once he arrived. Two days later he came back later than expected and put up the cement top on the wood burning chimney. We finally took off the forms ourselves and he came back to pick them up when called on July 20. We had to delay vacation twice for this work. He offered a $50 discount and we settled on 10% due to the long delays. We started at $675 and he took the 10% off $725. I wish I had used the delay time to check on other companies and prices of these repairs.

When it comes to Chimney Sweeps, I knew nothing...and learned the hard way. Make sure your Sweep is licensed, bonded, insured. A good Sweep will show up equipped for any eventuality. (Our first one "forgot" his ladder...then "forgot" to bring chimney caps to secure our chimney top...then said his camera couldn't work because of the design of our chimney. All of which were huge signs that the did not know what he was doing.) Also...make sure that you had a written guarantee that animal removal means "remove ALL the animals". There is nothing worse than one left behind in the summer months...a terrible smell and nuisance. A Clean Sweep came in and corrected all of the errors of the first service.
