Bergeson, Dr. Lars

I fell off a ladder two days before my wedding and obvious tore the ligaments in my knee.  In order to get treated I had to see my family physician first.  I went to Dr. Bergeson and he sent me to a hospital for x-rays and and MRI.  I explained to him that of the two hospitals in town, only one accepted my insurance. He said not to worry since he would take care of everything.  When I got to the hospital I got the x-ray and MRI and it was followed by an operation (at the other hospital) about 10 days later to repair the torn ACL and MCL in my knee.  When I got the bill from my insurance, they would not cover the x-ray or MRI since it was done at the hospital that did not accept my insurance.  I went back to visit Dr. Bergeson and he denied ever saying he would verify my my insurance (this was a flat out lie).  I ended up being treated very rudely by Dr. Bergeson as well as his office staff.  I went back to the hospital where the MRI was done and asked about Dr. Bergeson and I was told my the Imagining Billing Technician that they had several other complaints about Dr. Bergeson doing the same thing with other patients.  Since it was not resolved, I then filed a complaint with the BBB and then I was able to respond to a rude letter that Dr. Bergeson wrote back to the BBB.  The payment was not resolved or "written off" by Dr. Bergeson even though this was clearly his mistake.  I can't believe this guy is a doctor and I would never recommend him to anyone.  He is a liar, arrogant, rude and obnoxious.
