I had been dealing with the inconsistency of an aging furnace for over 10 years. When I could no longer get it to keep the house warm on a cold week in November, I put in a request on Home Advisor and JL Mechanical visited my home that same day, and identified the inconsistent furnace component within 10 minutes. James showed me a simple work-around to keep my furnace heating the house free of charge. I inquired about a new furnace and a couple weeks later JL Mechanical had installed an excellent new furnace/AC system at a competitive price on a 0% financed loan. The competition couldn't come close. Excellent work James!

Finding an available HVAC contractor in the heat of the summer is difficult, especially on a Saturday, which is when the blower on our 20 year old system went out. I decided to fill out a request through Home Advisor and James called me Saturday evening. He quickly gave me a bid for repair, but due to the age the equipment, we decided to have him quote on replacing the whole thing. He gave us a lot of information and many options to consider but never pressured or rushed us, despite the fact that we were desperate for cool air. He encouraged us to get another quote, which we did, but he could install the same equipment for less money and sooner than anyone else. In less than a week, we had AC again! James has the attention to detail and honest work ethic I wish every contractor had. I highly recommend JL Mechanical for your HVAC needs.

Came out super fast on Christmas Eve. Fixed it within minutes and was super knowledgeable and walked us through things we should know about our system.

James was great, He came out the same day, found the problem right away. He spent time telling my husband all about the humidifier in our new home. Will definitely be calling him if anything else goes wrong. He does give a 30 day warranty if anything goes wrong he will be there to fix it.

I got several bids and James was the most honest company that gave me a bid. He didn t try to sell me something that I didn t need. He was the only one that mentioned the damper and the rebate that I qualified for. He was very nice to explain the parts of the furnace. I will keep his number for any upcoming upgrades or HVAC needs.

James is very knowledgeable when it comes to HVAC systems and makes an effort to explain in more detail if you show interest. His work was clean and he was pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend him and I plan to reach out to him in the future as my various units that are getting old need replacement.

use of higher end systems is the only reason they're more expensive than the "low bid" you're likely to get from others. I preferred the higher end equipment (w longer service life and better warranties).

On the day in question, my heater kicked on early in the morning with a very strong "whump" that made the whole heater rattle. I called James and he was at my home 90 minutes later. He took lots of time to explain things and made sure that I understood what was happening to cause the problem. Together we determined that the 32-year-old heater needed to be replaced. He showed me a full range of options and then recommended an American made unit that fell in the middle. His price was very reasonable and he installed the new unit the next day. His crew was great and skillfully worked through all the issues of adapting a new heater to an older system. If you are looking for an experienced, honest guy to work on your heating system, James is the man to call. I have already recommended him to several other people.

James was able to come quote the job the same day I called, and they came and did the job the very next day for an extremely reasonable price. Would and will recommend to anyone!

Got it done quickly and at a fair price

James came out after I tries to get the fireplace installer back for one week to fix which was only a pilot lite reset. He was so kind and helpful and never made me feel stupid about not knowong what was wrong. Do. Not hesitate to call him for any heating or cooling needs. I will certainly call him again without hesitation

He took the time to explain everything he was doing and gave honest advice about the most economical way to accomplish what we needed. I would definitely hire this company again!
