Wayne framed our basement and did an acceptable job using good quality materials for a fair price. He then gave us a bid for the finish carpentry. The price was high but we expected he would work long hours and do quality work. However, he worked hastily and the quality of his finish work was so poor we asked him to stop working. The price he expected for his labor was excessive, even if he had been doing a good job. We had to hire someone to re-do what Wayne did. All the doors were hung too high and had to be removed and re-hung. Some of the trim was installed poorly and had to be removed and re-installed.

He arrived to prepare the bid, had lumber delivered, arrived to do the work, and complete the work exactly when he said he would. He used quality materials and subcontractors who came after him appreciated his work. Where the ceiling needed to drop down and up to accommodate ducts, the ceiling was slightly uneven. This was not noticeable but if a level was placed to that place on the ceiling it was evident. The concrete wall was not straight. It could have been accommodated during framing but was not. Therefore, when the tile was put down it was noticeably uneven along one wall.
