Wouldn't go through them again. Missed several items such as five Windows that have moisture between the panes and two toilets that don't flush correctly.

We are buying our first house and Watch Dogs made the inspection process fast and easy. They took care of all the scheduling with the seller and realtors. We just had to show up for the walk-through. They sent a thorough report filled with pictures and annotations.

We're in the process of buying our first home and the house we had an offer on was build in the 1940s. We were nervous about all the potential issues that could have come up and with our little experience we wanted someone to be honest and explain everything in detail. The inspector was on-time, professional, and walked us through all the good and bad points of our potential new house. He answered all of our questions and gave us a detailed report within 24 hours. Home inspector arrived on time, and did his inspection prior to our arrival. When we arrived, the inspector first walked us around the house, pointing out any of the items that should be looked at for possible repair (just so we knew about any possible future things). He talked about the down spouts, doors, flashing on the roof, etc. We then looked at the garage, and then finally went inside. We started in the basement and worked our way upstairs.
Anytime we had a question, it was answered professionally and knowledgeably. Our inspector asked if we had any concerns, and we went over them. When all was said and done, it did not change our mind about the purchase of the home. We now know what we are in for.

The inspector that showed up introduced himself and told me what he was going to do and would explain everything after the inspection. During the inspection I was shadowing him and pointed out my concerns about some issues with the house. He listened and explained how it should be fixed. Also, he was very patient and I knew I was pestering him. Eventually I let him finish. When he was done, we did a walk through showing me everything he had found. He told me who to contact or what to do with every problem found. He said I would have the report in a couple days, which was well within the time line i needed. When i received the report, it was professionally done and written so I could understand it

Recommended by my realtor, a Watchdog technician accomplished a whole home inspection and found several small things that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. The entire inspection happened ahead if my arrival and once I arrived the inspector gave me the tour of the home and pointed out everything that was a concern or needed to be repaired. He also recommended several simple repairs that should be made to bring the house up to a zero defect status. The technician, Jim, was very professional and was able to go into great detail on a number if concerns.

The inspector began his work before we got there (which was how it was scheduled to happen). Once we arrived, he walked us around the entire house, pointing out both major deficiencies and minor flaws. I was most impressed by his suggestions for how to fix the simple problems. Inside the house, we went from room to room and again, he pointed out deficiencies and safety issues and offered suggestions for simple fixes when appropriate. He also suggested we bring in specialists for certain items -- this is an older house with an older circuit breaker panel, for example.
The report from the inspection, with pictures and notes, was delivered later that day. It was very thorough but easy to read and understand. It does have a bit of a "copy-paste" feel to it. My favorite feature is actually the icons used with each item to show if it is a maintenance item, a repair item, etc. Also, I really appreciate having a list of things that might need attention along with areas that could be dangerous, and repairs that could be prohibitively expensive.
One final note, Watch Dogs was willing to make extra trips to the house in order to conduct the extra tests we had ordered and get the results back in time for us to meet our deadlines.
