Hawx Pest Control

Just had a very unpleasant conversation with their customer service caused me to cancel my account with them. I started with Hawx a year ago, and never had issues with technicians. They were great. Just recently, they said they want to switch to monthly payments we used to pay quarterly and they raised prices and asked $59,99 which we were okay with. This month they have not come as scheduled and I saw a bill in my account so I reached out to them via chat. I tried to understand why I needed to pay $59,99 before I even received the first service. We always paid after they serviced. This time they were asking me to pay before a service. Even they said they can not schedule me if I do not pay the amount. This just did not make sense to me. And the chat person could not really give a solution. Then I called to cancel my account. Somehow now, they could credit $59,99 and schedule me to an appointment and reduce my monthly payments to $49,99....I said thank you but I want to cancel, I found another company as I told the person in the chat. Then they said now I have to pay $59,99 that they could credit a fee that no service received and there was supposed to be no cancellation fee. I said I do not care the amount I can pay but this is not giving a value to an existing customer. I said I can pay and cancel but never recommend their company to anyone. He said my review would not really affect their company that was the moment I knew I was doing the right thing to cancel. Well I said I just want to cancel. I do not want any discount or anything. He hung up on me. I am sharing for you out there to consider my comment if you ever think about working with them. After a year, just because of poor customer service they lost a customer but they did not seem to care anyways.

I am not a fan of there policy or service. There are several things I do not like about there service. They come out when they want to. This is a problem since we have animals that walk the yard and potentially they are exposed to pesticides that could and have made them sick. We have not had any animals die but I really do not like them showing up unannounced. They do not consult you before they spray your yard. This is a problem because they may put on more pesticides than what is needed. Yards change with the application of they pesticides and insects move. If they consulted with the owner then they could find out what they need to look for or what to change in the application of pesticides. They do not allow you to skip months. This is simple, why spray when not needed. Putting on more pesticides is bad for the environment and the home. They have an over-inflated valuation on there service. This is a little harder to explain. The simple example is that they only come out once in a while but charge you every month. They they pesticides are so expensive that you are paying for service even when they do not show up. They have early termination fees. You may feel you no longer need there service but whey will keep charging you until the contract is up or you give them there $200. The family has had more health problems since using there service. The people that are there to fix problems have no empathy and laugh at you. I cannot say strongly enough how much I dislike Hawx Pest Control. I would suggest to everyone to avoid them. If you do need pest control and you have no choice BE SURE TO CANCEL SERVICE BEFORE THE 30 DAY EARLY TERMINATION PERIOD EXPIRES.

Hawx really is nice to work with and try their best to control the insects at our semi-rural home. Tony really knows his stuff! Thanks Hawx.

Beware the buyer- This company has unethical business practices. I ended service with them about the time COVID started, and they recently tried to start billing me again. I have demanded they cancel my account multiple times. They acknowledge receipt of the cancellation request but refuse to do so.  Do not do business with this company.

Did not do what they said they could.

They call and text too much. One reminder is all I need

Brandon and his co-worker were very friendly, courtesy and informative . They treated the outside and the inside and explained what they did this go around. Professional as always!

Hawx was quick with making sure my house was good to go. Customer service was helpful with rescheduling when needed. Havnt herd back though for my quarterly spray.

Charles came today and treated my home. I couldn't be more satisfied. He did a wonderful job inside and outside. He took his time and made sure he did everything I needed. He was friendly and easy to talk to. Great service as always!!!!

Average. Rushed but will be coming out every 90 days unless we call back for service in between Signed a contract for what I expected.

They said they would be there on Monday, but never arrived. After a call, they promised Tuesday Between 8-10. Luckily that worked out. I was waiting and showed him some of the problem areas. He did his job, so far, so good

Charles was wonderful. He showed up on time and had a smile on his face. He was professional I would strongly recommend their services.
