"Hello ( members name removed), Thank you for having us out to work on your appliance. We really appreciate your business. I'm sorry it took two trips to finish the work on your appliance. Our industry has seen large changes over the past 20 years. There are more appliance brands and models today than ever before. It seems like every model has parts that are specific to that particular unit now, so it is becoming increasingly difficult to carry every possible item that could break on a service truck. We continue to strive to complete the repairs on the first visit, but over the past 20 years we have dropped from a 90% first call complete rate to closer to 70% due to the number of different parts failing now.
