Justin and his helper came the first day and scraped the old peeling paint off as best they could.  Very thorough job.  They swept up and discarded all the scraped-off pieces of paint.  Then they power-washed the shed, and sucked up all the paint it brought off with a shop vac.  They waited overnight for the shed to dry, then came back the next day and scraped off a few more little bits of peeling paint before beginning to apply new paint.  They used a very thick roller which pushed paint into the grooves of the T-1-11 wood, and hand-painted all the trim around the roof and near the bottom.  Justin even replaced a broken piece of trim at one corner of the shed before they began painting.
Justin and his helper were punctual - in fact, they arrived early. They worked patiently, taking as much time as was needed to do the job right.  I watched their work out my window, and my thought was that they were doing the work as though it were their own shed.  They were polite, keeping the level of their music low enough it wouldn't disturb neighbors and turning it down even further when I came out to talk and see how the work progressed.  They were friendly and personable, and explained everything they were doing.  They provided the paint, a flat latex-base containing its own primer.  They cleaned everything up and didn't leave a mess behind.
