They did a good job on a hard project -- the horse chestnut tree had just been cut down a week or two earlier, but the ash tree stump was a year old, so that stump and its roots were a tough job. On all three stumps they ground out the roots to a depth of 8 inches since we needed to lay pipe for a sprinkler system. Their stump grinding machine had a hard time on the roots of the year-old stump; and to a lesser extent on the fresh stump, and the bulk of their time was spend on the roots. They ended up having to grind down the year-old stump to just a few inches below ground level, so we dug a channel in what was left of the main root in order to lay the sprinkler pipe deep enough. That was why I rated them Good instead of Excellent on Quality -- their work was great but their grinder seemed to be a little under-powered. I'm satisfied with their work and would use them again if we had any more stumps. The job took all day and they did good cleanup afterward. A neighbor who saw their work had them remove a stump on his own property the same day. They were more reasonably priced than another tree service I looked into.
