ProVue Windows

Description of Work: Installed windows on a new home build.

Description of Work: I received a bid for doing approximately 26 windows in March of 2011. Total bid was $5,011. They asked for a down payment of $2600. After significant delays due to weather and Pro Vue's lack of responding to phone calls the installation started the early part of May. It turned out that a good majority of the windows did not fit and were broken in the process of installing them. It also turned out that the windows are not what we thought we ordered. Since quite a number of the windows would not fit ProVue agreed to reorder the windows with a much lighter tint for an additonal $800.. They were to be installed approximately May 18th. I called them numerous times and sent them e-mails but received no response. I therefore decided that I would have to hire another wiindow company to replace the broken windows that ProVue had left and try to restore my windows to resemble the rest of my windows. I engaged the service of Sugarhouse Glass and Mirror who installed seven windows to restore my windows. The cost for this was approximately $1,473. This installation was completed on July 19th. I therefore believe at a minmum that Provue should refund my $2600 plus the expense of $1,473 I paid to Sugarhouse Glass. I would appreciate any assistance you might renderred although I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau , the Contractors Associations and will be filing with the Small Claims Court if necessary.
