Heating and Air Conditioning Service
The original installation was a complete disaster with flex connector being used in place of flex duct, the flex connector
running 30-40 feet despite labels on the flex saying not to be used in runs longer than 15 feet and being crimped to 50% of its diameter multiple times per run. The kitchen hood vent was run in flex connector despite code and the vent hood manual stating that metal duct must be used for fire safety. The cold air returns whistled when the furnace fan was running, the house was not cooling
down and the master bedroom was always hot and stuffy.
The first attempts to fix the issue with the developer and Anglers HVAC didn't resolve the issues so the owner of the company "JR" came to my house. After walking around shooting the walls with an infrared thermometer he said the house was fine. I explained the master bedroom was hot and you could feel how stuffy it was. (While standing in the bedroom) JR's response was "I can't control stuffy". (He does own Anglers Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning)
Skip ahead several meetings and demand letters with the Developer and Marty Jacks from Anglers gets involved. After redoing the manual J and D a couple of times he discovers the house was accidently flipped 180 degrees when the HVAC system was designed and the Developer committed to having Anglers replace the improperly run duct work and Anglers added return and supply air vents to the master bedroom.
This should have been a happy ending with me saying how Anglers stood up and took ownership, however, after the new metal duct was put in place I discovered that on 70% of the duct work they sealed only the seams that were visible from the floor. The seams of the duct work that face the ceiling or in an inconvenient location were not sealed at all. Ducts were not supported or braced and just
left resting on gas lines, electrical wiring and water lines. Trash that was generated during the install such as gatoraide bottles, ductboard cutouts, 2x4s were stuffed on top of the trunk lines.
I'll attach photos of the original installation and of the "sealed" duct work to show the attention to detail.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
Our swamp cooler died and we decided to replace our whole system. J.R. Brown the owner was on-time and friendly. He quoted the job and the bill was exactly what he said it would be, no surprises. Todd and his crew showed up with all the equipment and supplies. There was no delay, everything was removed and replaced in 8 hours. Interestingly the original heater installed in our home by the contractor that built it, was designed for a trailer house not a 2500 square foot home on two levels. Once our new system was installed we no longer had frozen fingers and toes. More importantly we don't sweat anymore! The system works fantastic especially with the new programmable thermostat. We are thrilled.
