Wells Jackman provided an estimate and began work in June (4 months prior to the completion date). Things started well but after 10 days, Wells disappeared. I documented 4 pages of attempts to contact him and the problems I had trying to get Wells to communicate with me and keep the job moving. For every voice mail or text message I left, I might get a response 1 in 10 times. He was full of excusses about hunting trips, phone problems, sick workers, etc. My biggest frustration was the lack of communication. I would call or text every 3 or 4 days just to try to understand why work had stopped. So I wasn't "stalking" him. I was just trying to conduct business. He acted like it was no big deal that a job that should have taken two weeks was taking months. In mid-October with cold weather looming, he handed the job over to a competitor (TMAX) who did a great job. I wish I'd hired Troy Maxwell from the beginning.

People need to be protected from poor performers. Avoid Wells Jackman.
