Over the last year, I average a phone call with them at least once every other month. We had them come every other week so that averages one contact about every four sessions of them cleaning our house. Since June of this year, my conversations with her have included the following concerns:
Broken, unreported property
Kitchen floor being "mopped" with a squeegee
None of the kitchen furniture (e.g., table and chairs) being removed prior to "mopping" the floor
Cleaning people stepping on our bed, with shoes, to reach the ceiling fan
Toilet that was not cleaned at all
Complete disregard for cleaning the basement (approximately 50% of our house)
Household items haphazardly put back in their locations after being moved to dust or vacuum
Neglected cold air returns (build-up of significant dust over several "cleaning" sessions)
Laundry room doesn't get swept or "mopped"
An important note to consider is that prior to the cleaning people arriving we spend time ensuring that our house is tidy. We do this to allow the team to focus on cleaning our house rather than tidying up clutter or things out of place.
My conversations with the office manager started out okay with her indicating she would ensure proper notes were put on our account. That said, the same issues come up over and over. During a recent call she indicated she would put a note on our account to have the cleaning people make sure to pay attention to the toilet bowl when cleaning the bathroom. She indicated her ladies "need to put their hand in the toilet bowl to clean it." Two things, that shouldn't be a revelation to anyone in the household cleaning industry and that is what she said the SECOND time I talked with her about this same issue. It should be note that we have normal fixtures in our bathroom.
My husband and I are busy professionals and we have four kids. Even with all the commitments we have, at this point, I truly feel that I would save time and energy cleaning the house myself.
An additional consideration to note is that the quality of cleaning varies significantly depending upon which team arrives at your home on your scheduled day. In the beginning the variation was so bad that I requested the same team come to our house each time. Even with that request, the quality still varies but not as significantly. Today, we had a completely new crew (stay away from Team 8) come to our house and it has resulted in us moving forward with firing Molly Maid at our first opportunity (Monday morning).
I guess I should take this as a review of myself as well. I should have never let it get this bad. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your home cleaning needs.
