great work on the wind shield

They came to my office, the repair was done quickly and at my convenience. Excellent customer service and quality work. Will use them for my next repair/replacement.

On time while I waited, looks great. Price was amazing. They've replaced a number of windshields for me over the years and do excellent work. While I was waiting a number of people came in who had their side windows broken at a hotel. They kept working on mine and helped each of these with a temporary cover for free. They were well organized, efficient and very pleasant to work with. They've earned a lifelong customer.

I made a morning appointment, and the mechaninic go to work on it soon after I arrived while I waited and read. he seemed to get it done quickly but apologized for it taking a little longer than usual because he had to grind down some rust to make sure he got a good seal; no extra charge for that. the front office person and mechanic were both courteous and friendly. my only possible criticism could be that the waiting area though large, is very basic. if they made it nicer I suppose they would have to charge more though.

They sent the technician out who was unprofessional and busy with her cell phone on personal business however, she was punctual. She told me the procedures and then did not follow them. She attempted the repair before getting the temp down to where it should be and in turn caused substantially more damage to my windshield. She called in a price for a new windshield. I let my insurance know about my experience. They got in touch with Safelite and I was told that Safelite would replace the windshield with OEM glass then they said they could not do it because the insurance would not pay for that kind of glass. They said they could only do after market glass. My windshield is still cracked.

If only other services were as convenient as getting a new windshield. I ordered my new windshield on safelite's web site and the technician came out the next day to install. No problems with the ordering process and the technician was fast and friendly.

Overall, they did the work OK but their home installation should be as good a quality as their warehouse work.

The serviceman was prompt and courteous and worked hard to get the job done before a rain storm that was approaching.

They did a really good job. They were very prompt in scheduling and they showed up when they said they would. They met me at my house so it was pretty easy. They were pretty good and I would use them again without any hesitation.

I read another Angie's List member review on Safe Lite and she said their website had a cost estimator tool. I went to the website and got a quote. I wasn't ready to schedule the appointment yet, I was just curious if I was in the ballpark with what I thought the cost would be, and I was. I've heard this companies ads on the radio and knew they would come to your location to do the work, which is what I wanted. About 2 weeks later I went back on line to schedule the actual appointment. What I didn't notice before, was the price on-line quote is valid for 48 hours, so this new quote was about $5 more from the first time, so keep that in mind. I went through all the same steps as before and then picked my date and time, entered my address and was told I would receive an e-mail confirmation. It was a few days later when I opened the confirmation e-mail. Make sure to do this, because they had me scheduled for me to bring my vehicle to them, but I called the office and got the order set up for them to come to me. The girl was very helpful and nice on the phone. I'm not sure if I did something wrong on-line but I thought by entering my address it would be obvious they were coming to me. I then got a reminder e-mail about two days before my appointment and it told me the name of the technician, said he was certified to do the work, he'd passed drug screenings and background checks. I thought that was great. The tech was Christopher and he called within the 4 hour window I'd set up. He was polite and professional plus their service included vacuming inside the front seats of my car and washing the windows! I didn't know that. I asked him why I didn't have blue tape holding my windshield on and he told me they use a heat activated adhesive now which is much better at bonding and even if it started raining or snowing right now, it would be fine. I just can't go to a drive thru car wash for 2 days. Very pleased with the service and the convenience, and I highly recommend them.
