Do not use Eckles Paving!! These guys are unscrupulous!! Their shoddy work has pretty much bankrupted me. I hired Eckles to redo the driveway at my duplex 2 summers ago. The duplex that I have owned with no problems for 22 years. The duplex that my mom has called home for 20 years. The winter following their driveway replacement, I began having water/moisture problems that, long story short, cost me $70,000 to fix. It took lots of investigating over the course of a year but it was finally determined (by 3 separate contractors and a different asphalt company) that the driveway that Eckles dis for me slopes toward my house causing all water, rain, snow to run directly into the home. I contacted Eckles and not only will they not accept responsibility for the damages, they won’t even fix the driveway!! I have had to take out loans that I am struggling every month, working 10 hours a day and 6 days a week, to make the payments on, just to fix the damage that was caused and now we are heading towards winter and I need to come up with $9000 to pay a different company to replace the faulty driveway so that the damage does not start all over again. No one will loan me any more money. I am maxed out. I will be forced to sell the duplex that I have poured all of my blood, sweat and tears into for the last 22 years in hopes that it would provide me with an income in retirement. Not to mention, I will have to move my mother from her home. Their contract, that I unfortunately did not read before signing, states that they can not be held liable for any damages that they cause to your property or your neighbor’s property. Ridiculous! How do these guys sleep at night? How can they call themselves a reputable company when they won’t even fix their mistakes? I had to makeshift a dam to keep the water from going in my house. Now every time it rains I have a 3 inch deep puddle in front of the door. This is my warning to you, Do not ever under any circumstances use Eckles Paving. And always read your contracts before you sign them. I learned my lesson the hard way

Use this asphalt company! I had a flawless, customer centered experience with this company. After requesting 4 bids from asphalt contractors on Angie's list and 3 bids on Home Advisor, Eckles Paving rose to the top on key features. They made multiple visits and calls to make sure a tricky job was done correctly. They promptly responded to phone calls and emails after hours. Their price was fair and below comparably sized asphalt companies. They showed flexibility at the last minute making adjustments to make the job more successful. They showed up when they said they were going to and texted me so I could meet them before the work began. I've built several homes over the years and never had a more successful contractor experience. These guys are honest, have high integrity and performed above my expectations.

I met with "T", Tevita in early June to discuss what he could do for me on a badly maintained driveway. He discussed removing some badly damaged asphalt in an area used for parking and filling in with roadbase. Another unpaved area had some low spots he said they would fill to level.
The rest of the driveway is about 15 to 20 feet wide and  about 100 feet long (these are just estimates). There were trees planted along the length of the driveway that had just been removed and they had lifted up and caused several large cracks across the width of the drive. We had discussed these and areas where it was badly cracked and looked like spider webbing. He said the spider webbed area could not be fixed.
"T" sent me an contract on 6/18/15 for removal, fill and tunfcoat. I have never been involved with asphalt and relied on Tevita to provide professional service. I never argued on the price and tried to ask probing questions to gain knowledge on the procedure and what the job entailed.
      "T"'s, Description of Work states:
Clean off debris / Apply two coats of tuffcoat seal coat to entire indicated asphalt area(First coat n  Second coat sprayed.)
Nothing is mentioned about using crack filler. As a neophyte, I assumed this was included in the work to be done.
I called and asked "T"  about this and he said he didn't include it in the contract. No real answer to why, just forget maybe. I sent an email to Ryan Sumsion, the CEO, who replied some vice president would contact me. He did and met with an associate at the property. They said it was not in the contract so I could have them fix for a price.
Why was this missed by the salesman and then by the supervisor on the job? Nobody argues that a proper job would have included the crack fill, it was just an over sight. They said they would send an estimate to do the repair. Nothing yet.
The drive will need to be replaced in the next few years and I would be nervous asking Eckles to do the job.
