Quality Pro Coating

Jake and the team at Quality Pro did a terrific job coating our garage floor this last week. Our new floor looks amazing and I'm really thrilled with the results. I know it's probably funny to be so jazzed about it, but it really does make a big difference to the appearance and feel of a garage to have it professional coated. Don't make the mistake of trying to do it yourself. It may look good for a few years but it won't last for very long.
I want to have a great looking garage and I'd already put a lot of work into accomplishing that goal -- painting our garage walls and ceiling last summer, putting in shelving, installing new lighting, and putting up tools racks and a new pegboard to organize our stuff. So getting the floor professionally coated was the last step in my goal to have a great looking garage and having the floor coated by Quality Pro was well worth the expensive. I was really impressed by how awesome it looks.
One of the reasons I wanted to get the floor professionally coated was because it was in pretty bad shape. The previous homeowners had painted the floor themselves, probably with some consumer product, and it was ugly. The coating had peeled in some areas and worn off completely in other areas. There were big track marks from the tires of our cars for example and the coating was completely gone. They were also remnants of various painting projects, red and white paint here and there on the floor. I also spilled a little paint last summer when I was painting the garage walls and ceiling myself.
When I contacted Jake at Quality Pro a few weeks ago, we scheduled a time to have him come out and bid the project. A few days later Jake arrived on time and we discussed their process, the available options, and the cost. Later that same day Jake emailed me a formal quote and I emailed him back to get it scheduled. The pricing from Quality Pro was competitive, less in fact than other companies I'd contacted, and I was impressed by his professional and focus on customer service.
A few weeks later, on the day of the appointment Braxton arrived at our home, on time and got right to work. He begin preparing the floor with a diamond concrete grinder to remove old coatings, paint, and other debris. The diamond grinder did an amazing job cleaning the floor and it exposes the pores of the concrete too, so the epoxy can bond with the floor. The grinder is hooked-up to a large vacuum, so you don't need to worry about your home getting dusty or dirty. After preparing the concrete and removing any additional coating by hand, they filled in the concrete joints and any cracks with a polyurethane joint sealant; laid down a 93% solids, high build epoxy base; and did 50% coverage with vinyl flakes. Braxton came back the next day and sealed everything with an industrial-grade polyurethane sealant. When the project was finished it really transformed the appearance of our garage and made it look amazing.
Quality Pro has been in business for over eight years and it really shows. They treat their customers well, they are professional, and they do quality work. What more can you hope for? I'm very happy with the work they did on our garage and would definitely recommend them. Thanks guys!

When first got the estimate, things moved steadily, but when I asked for coved edges along the baseboards, the installers seemed confused as to how to do them. I let them decide the best method, since they're the "experts." Bad idea. A year later, it became apparent they used cardboard to make the cove, & simply painted epoxy over it. The cardboard somehow broke down, the flooring tore open, and now my subfloor & interior of wall is being damaged every time I clean my floors. I've been calling them now for 18 months to come out & repair this & a few other areas of damage, as it's still under warranty. Unfortunately, I've set 3 different appointments for them to come out & see the problems, & propose a solution. They failed to show for each appt, making excuses each time except the last - that time they just didn't show; didn't call; & now have stopped returning my calls, & those of my husband/co-owner. I'm beginning to wonder if they're biding their time waiting for the warranty to run. I can forgive errors in the original install, as long as they're willing to correct the issues. This however, is ridiculous & totally unacceptable. The integrity of the existing structure is deteriorating as I wait & wait for them to fix this. If I have to file a consumer protection action/complaint, I will, but I would rather they simply step up, admit their mistakes & fix the problem.
