I have been dealing with a flooding basement for nearly 3 years since I purchased my rental property (originally it was bank owned with no disclosures!)  We had tried everything! First we checked the gutters and had black corrugated pipes installed on the down spouts to lead any rain water away from the house.  Helpful (and recommended) but did not resolve the flooding issue in the basement- where water was coming up through the concrete.
I  contacted Floodex Property Solutions who I had previously used for dry-outs.  They introduced to me what is called an Interior French Drain System.  John was very knowledgeable about water damage issues and explained to me where the water was coming from, why and exactly how this system worked.  We had a new catch basin installed to a second sump pump  and a french drain system installed along two walls in our basement (where the leaking usually comes in).  Within a weeks time, everything was back to normal.  John worked well with my tenants, kept the work area as clean as possible and communicated well with me each day. My tenants didn't complain. I really appreciate the work and effort that went into resolving this issue and feel confident I won't have future flooding issues.
(The total I paid to waterproof this basement was  $6777.43).

John is great. I'd highly recommend him again and use him again. He worked to help us save money without cutting corners. Unlike any of our other bidders, he included all the costs for things like third-party asbestos testing. (We have an old house.) He even did some remodeling on our bathroom in addition to his disaster cleanup work -- without charging extra. The only (mild) drawback was he's so good at his job that he's pretty popular. It took a while for him to get to our job. He's definitely well worth the wait though.

He is moving to Idaho, so he was unable to provide the service. However, John was very courteous, helpful and informative in pointing us in other favorable directions to get our project done.

He found the mold and recommended me to hire somebody to replace some windows and a bad wall.

The entire job from start to finish was terrific.  John worked as disruptly as possible, and there were times I forgot he was here!
At all times, he was a complete gentleman and treated me with great respect.  It's a hard combination to find those qualities these days, and if I ever again need the services John provides, I won't hesitate to call him at once.

I like FLOODEX because it's a family owned operation. They seemed very personable and were quick to respond. They came after business hours and were happy to be there. I really liked their company. They also seemed very honest and didn't overcharge for the job.

The work went well, and they managed to keep one bathroom open all the time which was great. With the new paint and tile, it looks like we have two new bathrooms at little extra cost. They gave us a timeline and estimate and came in under on both. It was a stressful time once we discovered the plumbing leak and the mold, but once John showed up and gave us the skinny on the work that was to be done, the mold problem remediation procedures, and how they would attack the problem was comforting. The work was done very well and the crew was very respectful of our home.

The bathtub drain was leaking and repaired a plumber.  There was raw sewage in the crawl space of a small rambler.   It got there via a failed bathtub drain. The odor was intolerable. That was the verdict of John Deitz of Floodex DKI.  I think the waste from the toilets flowed out through the damage tub drain.  I had several suggestions cleanup.  None were correct.  I tried spraying a bleach solution but that didn't work.  The other bad idea was to apply lime which is caustic and dangerous especially in a crawl space.  I searched  the internet and made telephone calls and finally a crawl space insulation company recommended Floodex which was the answer but almost a month was wasted.  After I scheduled Floodex I called called my insurance carrier to see if the damage was covered.  It was!  I should have called them at the very outset.  The claims agent had several suggestions for contractors including Floodex.  I learned a lot in the last month!
Here is what I should have done:  1.  Call the insurance company first.  The claims agent would tell me if the problem is insured, deductible information, and contractor information.  2. If it is covered the claims agent will make the necessary arrangements (calls, appointments, etc.) with the contractor and the tenant right away.  All I would have  to do is stand aside and wait for the bill.  3.  If it is not covered by the rental insurance policy, which isn't likely, the claims agent has enough experience with this problem that he can provide a few contractor names and save a lot of research time.  I strongly recommend Floodex.    Floodex responded quickly, dealt with the claims agent who gave verbal approval and the job was done in one visit in about four hours.  I will call them again if I need similar work in a crawl space.
