Out of the Woods Granite

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! My experience with Out Of The Woods was absolutely terrible from start to finish. I signed a contract in October 2021 for countertop fabrication and installation at my condo in Park City. Also included was a large piece for a coffee table. One of the reasons I chose this company was because they were on a list given to me by Arizona Tile, so I don’t know that I’d trust anyone they recommend. My cabinets were installed in December, and Out Of The Woods raised the price on me and had me sign a new contract. I was obviously not happy about this at all. OOTW then sent a guy to get final measurements and attempted the installation a couple weeks later. When the fabricators delivered the piece for the coffee table, they told us to be very careful because it was fragile. We learned shortly thereafter that they said that because they had broken off a corner and had done a shoddy repair job on it. I have since had it repaired properly, but I’m very unhappy with the dishonesty and the fact I’m out more money. As for the countertops, they completely got the backsplash pieces for my vanity and sink area wrong despite having everything correct on the contract. The pieces were supposed to line up evenly so there would be a continuous piece for a mirror to sit atop. It took another week to schedule the installation of the correct backsplashes, and again they were not correct. Despite speaking with my sales agent, Ryan, and him reassuring me that they would not create any seams, there was a seam. I then had to speak with the manager, as everyone I spoke with said they would not cut a new piece without a seam. He finally agreed to cut a new piece without a seam, and installation was another week later. To top off all this bad experience, the installer left a metal shim sticking out from the bottom of the backsplash which is impossible to remove without damaging the countertop. And if that weren’t bad enough, the hole they cut for my soap dispenser was so close to the faucet hole that it cannot even be used, so I’m stuck with metal cover for the hole in my nice piece of granite and no soap dispenser. Horrific experience!!!!! (I’ll post pictures within a week.)

It looks really nice, but the drawers are put in crooked. There was a lifetime warranty, but when they came out to fix it, it still does not look right.

They put in our kitchen cabinets three years ago and we were very pleased with the work they did. We were going to have some cabinets done recently but decided against it. We still gave them the contract for two countertops, one in the laundry room and one in the bathroom. They did very well. The bathroom was especially tricky because of a mirror that was on the wall, but their measurements were just really exact, so they were able to get the job done anyway.

Not a good experience at all and I am still not completely happy with the job performed.
