Ken Weaver Construction

We were preparing my late mother's house for sale, and it realliy needed painting.  We matched the existing paint and tried to do just some touch-up, but even though the color was spot-on (special thanks to Sherwin Williams for that!), the finish didn't match.  We'd never hired a painter before, so I called the paint store and asked for a referral.  I was given two names.  Ken responded immediately and met me at the house the very next day.  Timing was really important to us; we wanted to get the house up for sale immediately, and he bent over backwards to accommodate our short time frame.  He listened to what we wanted, took careful notes, and even suggested some ways we might cut costs.

He itemized the bid specifically so I could remove "extras" such as the two basement rooms if I wanted.  But it was so reasonable that I went ahead and had him do the whole thing.  He put a key box on the house so I wouldn't need to be available every minute, and they were done in two days.  When I got to the house the evening of the second day and looked around,  I was in shock at how beautiful it looked.  There was absolutely no spills and everything was cleaned up spotlessly. 

When I went downstairs, however, that's where the real shock came in.  My father had installed a light fixture in a ceilng many years ago and had not had great sucess repairing the drywall.  Ken voluntarily repaired that area, then painted the ceiling , too, so it would match...and didn't charge me a penny extra.  He just shrugged and said he wanted it to look nice!  In this day and age, who DOES that anymore? I am beyond pleased.  He's earned my long-term business and every referral I can possibly give him.

Note:  His business card says "The Drywall and Painting Specialists" and that isn't hype!  It also says Interior/Exterior, Repaint Specialist, Texturing, Remodel/New Construction.  Ken's title is "General Contractor" and the comany is called "Ken Weaver Construction", so I'm not sure if he actually does anything more than painting and similar projects.  WHATEVER he does, he's worth every penny so if you have other projects, call him first!
