Home Building
Going through the process of building a new home was not something I was looking forward to. My preference was to get into a completed new home or a spec home nearly completed. Curtis was very easy to work with. He almost always answered his phone when I called, rarely did I have to leave a message.
Curtis only builds a couple of homes at a time. So we had to wait while he finished a couple of projects before he would start on ours. We were ready in May of 2012 to begin but we didn't sign a contract until July. Digging began in late August/September. We moved in January 2013.
The contract phase of project is really important. Try to get the contract specs as close to the desired end products as possible. This saves time and energy when not having to deal with change orders.
Be prepared to spend time on picking materials and finishes with his providers. He does not have a design center so we had to go to each vendor to make our selections. This can eat up time but in the end it is worth it as you get to select exactly what you want.
I would build with Curtis again is a heart-beat.
