Unfortunately, they didn't come and didn't come. We made many telephone calls (even driving out to the office once) and were always reassured that the word would be passed on to the owner Anthony and they would be out shortly. When they came the furnace, filter system and saline system looked like it was working so we (mistakenly) paid them the balance due that day.
However, as we began to work with the pool, the filter system didn't operate properly. They came, replaced all the filters and later charged us $495 for new filters. Really? On a 3 week old piece of equipment?
In the meantime, we discovered leaks in the old metal pipes. They dug a section up and replaced it, disappearing afterwards. They never returned to replace the sod. Then, the furnace wasn't working. They finally came out and charged us another $79.00 to make adjustments on a new furnace. Really? All this is occuring only as we call and call and call.
The entire process was finally completed August 14 (12 weeks) during which time they would tell us--over and over--"someone will be there tomorrow" or "I'll tell Anthony and he'll let you know when."
When we finally had everything up and going we received the bill for the replacement of the piping. It was a single amount (we never were given an estimate for that part of the job). We asked for a breakdown of labor (time spent) and materials. Once again, "I'll have Anthony call you." For the umpteenth time, we heard nothing.
Frankly, we are so tired of dealing with these people that I wrote a check...and now this review. The pool is working beautifully, but the frustration was untenable. We will never deal with this company again.
After a few days my neighbor helped me realize that the heater hadn't started up. There was an error message on panel for heater indicating problem. I don't think that the heater started when they came to open the pool and the start up guy missed this. I called and asked for them to come back and was told they would get someone out the same day. Three days latter they hadn't showed up so I called again. They said they would call back with an appointment time. 6 hours latter and still no call. I am giving up and looking for someone that can deliver. They are overwhelmed and understaffed.
When they delivered the new cover two weeks later, they had the wrong color - light brown versus the dark brown I ordered. They obviously did not check the color versus the order - perhaps they hoped I would take the wrong color. They had to reorder the cover with the correct color, which delayed them by an additional two weeks.
When someone came to deliver the cover, he would not install the clips and did not have screws to secure the clips to the spa. I had to install the clips myself, meaning I had to go out and buy screws to install them. The clips were in a very awkward position, and I had to screw in the clips on the service panels, which means that in the future we will have to remove the clips just to service the spa.
Every singe action they took was disappointing, almost as if they planned to make me a dissatisfied customer from the beginning.
I just joined Angie's List in order to submit this report. I believe there should be a special category of companies that are so bad they compell someone to join just to report them. This place would be the standard against which all bad companies should be measured.
