Gurney Mobile Service

I couldn't start my mower on 5/25/11.  I looked in the yellow pages to find a place near me to take it for repairs.  I found Mr. Gurney's ad saying that I didn't need to put it into my sedan (difficult and potentially a dirty job) because he would come to me and do the repairs at my home.  I called his number and he answered right away, told me he needed to pull to the side of the road (I liked that a LOT!) and then set up an appointment for the next afternoon.  He said he would be here between 1 and 1:30 and arrived at 1:20.  He was professional and cordial, almost courtly in his good manners, and set to work on my mower.  At one point it looked as though it might be hopeless but then the engine had compression after all and he sharpened the blade, replaced the spark plug and air filter, changed the oil, checked the carburetor out, lubricated places that I hadn't known needed lubrication and wiped it down.  My mower hasn't been this good in a long time. He cleaned up after himself, stowed everything neatly in his pickup shell, wrote up the bill which I paid and we shook hands and he left.  I couldn't be more pleased!
