I needed an emergency driveway replacement due to an HOA compliance complaint that was blocking the closing of my property!! Larry came to the rescue! I called him on Monday, he showed up that afternoon and gave me the estimate. Larry and his crew started the work the very next day on Tuesday and completed it on Wednesday. Larry and his crew are very professional, they know what they are doing and they got the work done fast. I'm incredibly grateful!

Dishonest. Paid Larry 13k to pour some concrete only for him to bust up my sprinkler line and not fix it. He continuously agrees to fix it, but then does nothing...been going on for over a year. Guy is a total airhead, avoid.

All work was done ahead of schedule, they put french drains in on both sides close my garage and house, and after a few weeks I had them come out and put a special sealer on the concrete. I am very happy with the new driveway and highly recommend this company.

I called Larry on a weekend and he was quick to return my call. We scheduled a time for an estimate that same day. He was prompt, listened and wrote a quote for the patio. A tentative date was scheduled. There was a delay on my part which changed when he could do his part and then additional delays on the job before mine due to the weather. However, Larry kept me informed. During the delay, we got an additional quote for the RV Pad and sidewalk. When the job started he met with me with his lead guy to discuss the job again and make a layout of where the concrete was to be poured. During the framing his lead guy checked with me to make sure it was what I wanted. In the end, the end cost was more than the two bids but additional work, additional square feet, and several gutters had to be dug and completed. Larry went through the additional costs and only ended up charging me for the additional square feet of concrete. There was a misunderstanding about a concrete bench in the design that we discussed and I could see where the misunderstanding came from. I was happy with how things turned out and did not press for a correction. Overall, I would use this company again.

larry is personable and anxious to get the job. When I called him with pocking cement after the winter he said I salted it. I did not salt it. Then he said oh yeah we pored that section and it was raining. He made no effort to fix the problem area. Before the pocking my neighbor used him on a removal and new driveway. The driveway is a mess. Larry does not back up his company's work.

The new driveway and stamped concrete patio look great! My neighbors have come by to tell me how nice the new driveway looks. I'm very happy with the service and the professionalism.

When I first called Larry to get a bid for my driveway/walkway replacement, he was very nice and prompt. I chose Larry's company because he said he stands behind his work 100%. After my decision, Larry requested 50% down payment to hold the last week of May for the job. Larry did not show up or call during the last week in May. I then called Larry in June and he said he could not start the job until the third or fourth week in June. This was ok with me since I would be on business travel during the first week. While I was away on business travel, Larry's crew showed up without calling me or my husband and completed the driveway. When I returned from my business trip, I found a new driveway, but the dimensions were not correct, since I had requested a specific portion of the old driveway to be taken out and not replaced, to make room for a garden. Also, the gutter was damaged when the crew had cut away the old driveway. Also, the first half of the driveway that was poured on the first day was lighter in color that the second half poured on the second day. Larry demanded full payment, but promised to fix the issues, so we paid in full on good faith. He did cut away and dispose of the newly pored section that I had requested be left uncovered. He said he would patch the large chips in the gutter, but the patched sections have cracked and broken up several months later. Larry said the color variation was normal and would even out in a few weeks. The color still remains different 2 years later. Also, the crew changed the dimensions of the walkway and added a narrow flared edge where the walkway connects to the driveway. The flared edges cracked within a few months and it looks awful. There is also a low area in the driveway where water puddles when it rains or snows, and then freezes during the winter.
The worst issue is the flaking that started about a year after the driveway was poured. After numerous calls to Larry, he finally drove by our house and left a message that the flaking is called "spalling" caused by too much water in the concrete mix, and that he would replace the defective sections in the next season. After numerous calls and missed appointments, Larry finally stopped by on June 3, 2014. Now he is saying that the flaking is caused by "poor driveway maintenance" most likely from salt. Also, he said that he has changed concrete vendors. Since Larry says that we have caused the driveway to flake, there is nothing he will do.
Two neighbors used a different vendor to replace their driveways at the same time, summer 2012. Their driveways are uniform in color, there is no flaking and they look great. The vendor also replaced the entire gutter in front of the driveway.

I was encouraged about Larry's knowledge at first. I know nothing about concrete so it was hard to tell how legit a few things were that happened along the way. They encountered more re-bar than they were expecting in the old driveway and I was charged extra for its removal (he said it cost him double what he was charging me to take it out). There were also some cracks that developed very quickly after the new driveway was poured. I was told that this was normal and there was nothing that could be done to prevent it. The only thing I was unhappy about that I'm pretty sure could have been prevented was the mess left behind. There was a lot of gravel left on my lawn and concrete splattered on my gate and doorstep.
The driveway does look nice (other than a couple thin cracks) and I'm not sure it would be better if I had gone with anyone else, but I'm can't say the entire experience was fully satisfying.

Responsiveness was not great after we agreed to the work. Work had to be broken up into 2 parts because the first power-washing couldnt remove some stains on the concrete floor in the garage. Since I didnt want the stains to be sealed in, I had to have someone else come to powerwash the stains out as the powerwasher that the person from the Art of Concrete brought wasnt strong enough. Then it was a nightmare to schedule the sealing again for the garage floor requiring multiple calls, uncertain and vague schedules etc.

Larry was punctual, showing up when he said he would. We walked through the area. He
spent the time going over the details of what would go into the job. Demolition
and haul off of the old concrete which is then crushed, returned, and compacted
as a base for the new driveway. Installation of rebar pinning into the house foundation.
Larry also suggested segregating the driveway, by means of control joints, into smaller sections.
Larry was not the low bid. However, replacing the concrete work around the house is a
long-term investment and I was comfortable that more work and detail, to ensure
longevity, were going into the job. Job would take three days to complete.
Date was set to begin job. Larry and his crew were here, as scheduled and the job was
completed in the three days time. The driveway came out beautifully. The lay of the control
joints accentuate the driveway in the way a lattice would accentuate a large pane of glass.
The reconfiguration of the steps on the walk, to the stoop to the front door, I like.
The concrete is still setting so it will be another couple of weeks before I can park my car on it. But
for now, I can walk out onto it and appreciate the investment.
Larry and his crew were punctual and behaved in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
Design, new front step layout, lay of control joints, added functional and aesthetic value.
Site was cleaned up at the end of each day and at job completion.

I hired Art of Concrete after reading several positive reviews on Angie's list to pour my RV pad and redo a front porch. Larry Fife, the owner of Art of Concrete was very prompt in returning phone calls and providing an estimate. The crew was very friendly and professional. Unfortunate bad weather delayed the start of the work, when the weather allowed the crew worked very hard preparing for the concrete. The only complaint that I had was that the crew trampled a lot of my flower beds during the the tear out of my front porch and I believe due to the bad weather they were rushing to finish the job and the clean up was a little sloppy(ie: nails and chunks of concrete all over my lawn). Overall I'm happy with the job performed and would recommend Art of Concrete if you need cement work done.

The work was fine in the face value, but the leaves have popped up and he was called and told about it. Maybe the leaves should have been picked before pouring the concrete. He said there was nothing he could do about it, and he said he would come and look at it, but he never did. The driveway from the street looks amazing, but I have never seen leaves popping out.

They arrived on time and provided me with a competitive bid. I selected their bid because of their recent work in the area, and the number of outstanding reviews I had read. They were on the job when they said they would be and were at my home first thing each morning until the job was complete (in my case the job was finished in 4 days). The work they did was excellent and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. They cleaned up at the end of each day and when the job was done. I recommend them to anyone in the area that is looking at having their driveway stamped, replaced or in the market for a new driveway.
For the job Larry and his crew did, I couldn't have asked for a better return on my dollar.
Larry and his crew are very responsible and are professionals in their dealings with you.
