ADVANTAGE HOME IMPROVEMENT

Rich Price at Advantage Home Improvement was recommended to me by my brother-in-law when I was looking for someone to build a roof to cover a future deck that I will put in myself (tying into and extending a gable end of my home). They provided a well-priced bid and I met with Rich to discuss the details of the job before signing the work agreement. Once they began work they completed the job quickly and we were very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. The final product looks great (I’ll be doing the soffit and fascia finish work once I get the deck built). Rich was easy to work with, he answered all of my questions, and where there was a minor problem he was great about making adjustments until I was satisfied.

It was an extensive rebuild. They replaced boards and such. They are a family owned business. They have a bunch of people come out and they do the tear off. Then they look to make sure that the wood that goes on the actual roof was thick enough and not the thinner that they had used for awhile. Any kind of rotting they would take off. Any wood that needed to be replaced they would replace by asking you. They get permission to replace it. Then they reshingled it and put two coats of ice and water shield along the eaves, they put 30 year shingles and used high wind nailing system. They did new galvanizing based type boots. They put on 4 new metal vents and flashing and kicker flash as needed. They did the back patio tear off and then did the white membrane roofing over that part and replaced any of the old things that needed to be replaced. They also took down the water cooler.
The people that owned the house before just shingled over the old roof and didn't take anything off. It was a major project.

They were really quick and they started at 8:30am. They ended at about 1:00pm and only two guys did the work. They even worked when it rained. I was very pleased with the out come.

They do excellent work, but they are not always consistent in pursuing the job they started. They would show up and then not come back for days at a time. Otherwise, once the work was done, the deck looks great.
