Used discount through Angie's List for new brakes at $129. Found out that my rotors also needed replacing. I was able to get in immediately and service was done in a timely manner.

Well I was recommended by the person  I bought the car from, just my luck the care was a pile of Sh^& , needed a new transmission when at first was diagnosed with needing a rear end, so they helped me out knowing I was in a bind , took a while to get my car back right but would prefer it be done right then fast, they worked with me on many levels and I appreciate their expertise and help.

The experience was good. Once I decided to repair the car, the replacement unit was delivered overnight. I paid half the total cost upfront. The car was in the shop only two days. Rick called at the end of day one to let me know the status.
There were no greasy fingerprints in the car or on the body. The only indication that it had been in the shop was the radio was turned on (we never listen to the radio). The road test went well, and I paid the balance. One week later we took the car on a 500 mile round-trip with no issues.
The only thing added to the original estimate was a $20 gasket set. So no surprises. They did the work agreed to and seem to have done it well.
The only small issue was when I called Ford Powertrain to verify the warranty registration. Rick had told me that as soon as he made an entry into his system, the warranty was registered. That was not technically correct. The warranty was in effect, yes, and that was no issue. However only the Ford dealership can actually register the sale and the individual transmission for warranty in Ford Powertrain's system. There are internal codes that non-Ford installers would not know. The Powertrain representative did tell me that registration is not needed for the warranty to be in effect. All that is needed is the sale date, dealer name, invoice number, and transmission serial number. Rick was able to supply all that information to me for my records on a followup visit. I do not fault Rick at all for this minor detail.
