We are "at odds" with them over their billing. The day they came out and handed me a paid receipt for the day. I thanked them very much and replied "it's a free one, yeah." They said it was and laughed.
Later on they called me on the phone and said that "the free one" was not for me but for someone else. Their representative on the phone said that "I did not have to pay for the last time they were there, because it was their mistake and that they were willing to absorb the loss." I felt it was most generous and I thanked them.
For a long period of time passed and no Dandy Lawns came. I called and asked if they could come over and do the lawn. They told me that I had never paid them for the last time they were they were there. That made me mad!. There seemed no connection between the people that worked there even though they are a family owned company. Remember, I had been called by their
representative that they were going to absorb the cost because it was their own mistake; and now they want to be paid or they are not coming.
That is where it stands! This is very embarrassing for me as I am still very confused. I sent them a check for the work they did last. Marked "paid in full." This is the smallest, unbelievable petty situation that I have ever been in. When someone calls you and tells you they are going to absorb the cost and then turn around and bill you for it anyway.
I have to assume that their word is no good. I would suggest that you not use them,
