They were very professional, and arrived exactly when they said. Quickly gave me options and choices for carpet. the installer was very professional during the entire work process. They cleaned up after themselves and left.

The job was done well with minimal attention required of me and minimal invasiveness to tenant.

Sterling measured the job the day after I called and the installers came the next week.  One thing I have noticed about Sterling is that he measures as accurately as possible to reduce carpet waste, which helps to keep the overall cost of the carpet lower.

I got an estimate for the two different parts of the job and had them scheduled for the same day. The baseboard work happened just as planned, but the carpet stretching people didn't come. I finally called Mike and Sterling's, and I found out that the carpet stretchers had accidentally had some booking issues that I wasn't informed of. I ended up needing to reschedule them, and when the new stretching people came the next day, they came on time (actually a bit earlier!). More detail about their work is below. Baseboards: The baseboards people arrived when I expected them and finished the job in a couple of hours. The main fellow was very helpful. There were several issues with the previous flooring and baseboards, and he recommended solutions for each of them. He also noticed a sliding door that I was having problems with and suggested a fix for that as well, which I appreciated since I'm not very handy. He definitely went above the required work and did an excellent job, particularly with my house's weird, nonstandard issues. Carpet stretching: The Sandoval carpet stretching guys (three of them) called to let me know they were coming and make sure it was an okay time. They came in and looked around, moving some of my furniture that needed to be moved. They were very efficient and helpful, moving more furniture as they found that the bump in my carpet was spread out farther than originally thought. The work was done in abt 1.5 hours maybe, and the head worker answered all my carpeting questions as he worked. I appreciated his help. I feel like both sets of work were completed really well and that they went above and beyond the requirements of the job. My only complaint was the way the scheduling issues were handled, particularly since I wasn't informed of the problem until I called to find out what was going on.

They did such a good job that you could not tell the difference between the old and new hardwood floors. They were here when they said they were going to come.

We met with Gina in July and were very impressed with the selection of tile that Mike & Sterling's has. We had a hard time deciding, there were so many. We did finally find exactly what we were looking for and it's beautiful--unfortunatly also one of the more expensive pieces they have. Gina came within a day a or two to our home to measure so she could give us a bid on our job. Within a day or two she e-mailed the bid to us. We returned to the store to pay half down and Gina ordered the tile with the understanding that we wouldn't be ready for a few weeks. A few weeks later, Chip and his co-worker did the tear out of the existing tile. It was a do-it-yourself job and very difficult to tear out but we were not charged more than the regular fee for this. We had an enormous amount of problem with the cabinet company we hired and the job kept getting pushed back. Gina and the tile installer, Chip, were so patient and great to work with us in rescheduling when our cabinet company kept missing their deadlines. We never had any trouble at all with them and all the workers who came to our home were friendly and very accomodating. We also felt they were high quality individuals and didn't have any problem having them in our home without supervision. We had divided the entire job into two phases and that as well as the poor performance of the cabinet installer and the countertop installer stretched the job out into January. In January we had the carpet installed in the bedroom. That was done in less than a morning and looks perfect. This whole time Mike & Sterling were so patient. They called a couple of times to check on the progress of the job and see if we were ready to schedule thigns but never once did they ask for more money before the job was finished even though a great deal of the installation work had been done. The quality of the job is also very good. We would highly recommend Mike & Sterling's to anyone.

The whole project went very well. Store personnel were friendly, knowledgeable, and not high pressure at all. Kelly Mann showed up right on time to assess the damage and take measurements. The installer, Steve, was prompt, professional, and personable. I'm very pleased with the process and the results.

The carpet layer's came in and removed our old carpet. After that was complete, they laid our new carpeting. The workers were very professional and did a quality job.
