After reading the reviews here on Angie's List I contacted Jason to get a quote. Jason was responsive and submitted a quote when promised. Before the project started Jason came to review the project and introduce me to Francisco who would be doing the project. I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. Francisco and his team where there and within a little over a week completed the project.

We had our son's wedding reception scheduled for our yard at the end of July and contacted the owner, Jason, in March about his availability to completely re-landscape our front and backyard. We had drawn up our ideas on graph paper and met with Jason, who was gracious in saying he could commit to getting the job done in time for the reception. We had several bids from other landscapting companies in the area. Not only did Jason compete the best on price, but he also had the best ideas for our yard. Despite estimating that the job would take roughly 5 weeks (the whole month of June), it ended up taking 7 full weeks; however, we did add several change orders as the job progressed. Jason and his crew were all clean cut and absolutely great to work with. They were incredibly hard working, even on days where the temps hit over 100 degrees. We were very impressed at how they never cut corners and seemed to always go the extra mile in making sure all details were attended to. As the date for our reception approached, Jason and his crew worked well into the evening on several days to ensure everything got done in time. The yard turned out much better than we expected and we're completely delighted with the results.

It took some time initially to get the bid on the job and then we decided to go with another contractor who said he was not scheduled as far out. When this other contractor put us off much longer than promised, we called Jason who was able to fit us into his schedule fairly quickly. We were very pleased with the crew who did the work and with Jason's handling of several issues that came up along the way. We are very pleased with the final results.

We bought a house that had a lot of issues in the yard, and we didn't really know how to address them. Jason was able to meet with us immediately, and had tons of ideas of how to better use the space in the yard. Work started about a week after the initial phone conversation, and except for weather related delays continued in the time frame we were promised. Jason and his crew were really friendly and easy to work with. With a project of this scale it was inevitable that there were some glitches and unforeseeable complications, but every problem that came up was met with creative solutions. They had lots of ideas of how to address everything, and asked our input at every step to make sure we were comfortable with how things were coming along. They were totally open to our ideas and suggestions and we were able to work together to come up with the perfect yard for our family. The crew worked so hard and so fast, it was amazing to watch the transformation. They have incredible attention to detail, making sure everything looked perfect. Everything was cleaned up and left in great condition in the end. We absolutely love our new yard, and could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. Highly recommended!

It was an exceptional experience! I had to wait a couple of weeks between first contact & the scheduled bid appointment, which to me is a reasonable time frame given the type of work & time of season. I received an itemized bid within a couple of business days. Pricing wise they came in the middle. I chose Complete Landscapes because Jason took the time to walk through what I envisioned the end result to be, we discussed how the work would be done, how far out he was booked and he gave me options for small enhancements I hadn't thought of (like curbing around the beds) and included those in the detailed bid so I could make an informed decision. I appreciated having a reasonable expectation set from the get go. Work commenced approx 30 days after the bid, which was within the estimated time frame. The crew was courteous and respectful of my property. I work from home and they ensured minimal interruptions to my day. The crew supervisor Juan made sure I was in agreement of the grading for the yard & planter beds and placement of the trees - this might not sound like much, but I appreciated being included before everything was final. I'm a hands on person, so this courtesy was much appreciated. The crew worked efficiently together, all in all it only took them 4 business days to complete the work. When Jason walked the end result with me, he took the time to answer questions I had about the watering set up and steps to take to ensure the new sod rooted properly. I would absolutely recommend Complete Landscapes to family & friends and use them in the future.

I would never use him again. He would never fix my synths. I had to pay $2500 more to get somebody else to fix it. He was so busy once he got a better deal; he had no interest in my yard of doing it right. His idea to fix my synths was to put washers underneath the poles.

I have informed Angie's List of the mixup and they are working on clearing things up. I did purchase Complete Landscapes in the winter of 2011 and had a non-compete agreement signed by the previous owner. If he was using my name illegally and did the work for you, I would like to know so I can resolve that issue as well. They were great. They were on time and they were fast. They were efficient. They did a great job. Everything looked good when they were done. There were 4 people who came out to the house. I was at work and I just came real quickly to check in with them. They were friendly. They answered my questions. I was just checking to see if there were there and that the work was proceeding.

. It went very well because I have used this firm for several years to cut and trim my lawn There was a three person crew all of whom would use shovels if the snow fall was relatively light. Tor heavier snow, they had as off road vehicle with a blade mounted on its from. The vehicle was carried in an enclosed trailer. Consequently regardless of rthe depth of the snow the work was cone quickly and efficiently.

Jason originally came out to provide me with a quote in late May. By the time I made up my mind on what to do, he was booked until mid July. His team was great! They started on a Monday, and finished most of the work by that Thursday night, even working through some rain. They were very thorough and responsive through the the process, addressing any questions/concerns I had. They put in two additional valves in the back for future expansion, which was a nice bonus. When the work was completed, they did a great job of cleaning up.
I did have one issue with a sprinkler a few weeks later, but they promptly fixed it. I'm very happy with the work and would definitely recommend them to anyone!! I've had many compliments on the yard, and love having a new space to spend time with the family.

They started earlier than when we had them scheduled, which was great. They worked long days and finished the project in exactly 15 days - which we thought was not realistic when we were given that time frame due to the amount of work involved. We worked off the design of an outside landscape designer, which required some slight modifications and a lot of discussion on implementation. Jason and his crew provided useful insights and advice on certain aspects of the design that we took and they worked out very well. The quality of work was superb - the hardscape is stunning. Excellent job on laying out flagstone and choosing the materials and design for the sitting wall. Any problems that we came across they fixed immediately. We would absolutely use them again and have recommended them to friends and neighbors.

Initial experience, summer 2013:
Jason came on the scheduled day to look over the work needed; he sent a bid the next week. It was itemized, which allowed us to remove specific items according to our budget and preferences. He provided a ballpark estimate of when they'd be able to come (3-4 weeks out), with intent to come earlier if the scheduled allowed. The cost seemed on the higher end, but we needed to get it done and decided it was worth the expense.
They came and starting working without notice. The first time I saw them was as I happened to look out the window and notice several guys lying down on our front lawn during lunchtime, but I didn't realize they were actually doing something at our place for a few hours because they didn't tell me they were coming, didn't ring the doorbell, and had a different name on the trailer, which was parked at the neighbors' place. Lack of communication, combined with our own inexperience with landscaping and a short trip we took, created an issue -- the freshly laid sod (which we hadn't realized was even in place yet, therefore didn't know to ensure the extra care) didn't get the water it needed in the days following installation. We'll need to go back and re-do about half of that work.
Crew members seemed to spend as much time on break as they did working. I was unimpressed by that, and very glad it was bid by the job rather than by the hour. The amount charged was exactly as bid, which helped considerably.
They did complete some diversity of tasks, including cleanup, fencing and sprinkler system work, and most of the work areas did look much better after they were done, especially around the tree. I was especially glad for removal of a hazardous post that was set pretty deep in concrete; that could not have been easy.
A relatively small item was left clearly not completed, so I contacted Jason to follow up. He returned in a timely manner to look it over and got his crew back to finish it up the same day.
Jason seems to have a good eye for landscaping and was able to describe his ideas in ways that I could begin to envision, even though I haven't got an eye for anything at all. I was looking forward to the improvements. And in the end, they did get everything done, some with pleasing quality. Still, I was disappointed to have a work crew lounging on our lawn for that length of time, and no communication about when they would be there (or, later, that they had come). We also need to go back to fix the sod issue -- we all hoped it would "take" despite the delay in getting water, but no luck.
"Would you use this provider in the future?" I still might, depending on the task, the season, and my availability to keep an eye on the process. But I would be inclined to look elsewhere first.

Both contacted me before getting to work so they knew I was home to provide needed care (and so I knew not to let the dog out while they were there). New sod is now in place, regular watering is started to help it take root, and the new grass looks good. I appreciate Jason's diligence in addressing both the landscaping issue and the process-related concerns. This attention to quality and his pursuit of improvement speak well of Jason and of his company.

We had an unexpected opening in our schedule(we finished a job two days early) and so I wanted to hurry and get your job done because our schedule was full. I tried calling that day but couldn't reach you so I figured we would just get started. I pay my workers a percentage of each job they do instead of by the hour but I have talked with them and they will no longer "lounge" in a customer's yard. As for the sod, I apologize for the miscommunication...I assumed that since you knew it was new sod it would have to be watered more; my fault for not explaining that to you. If it is still dead and hasn't been replaced let me know and I'll come back and replace it! I think everything else was ok. I appreciate your feedback so I can improve myself and my business! They did a real good job. They were punctual and very helpful. They explained to me what was going on and they fixed it right on the spot instead of just giving me an estimate. It was nice to get it all done at once. They were prepared and had the equipment. They were affordable and did a good job.
