DO NOT USE!!! Very deceptive and unprofessional. Completely baited my wife by quoting his lowest possible price and then after the move demanded we pay an amount almost double. The second my wife questioned the misunderstanding he threatened to send us to collections. Completely rude and unwilling to reason. I ended up paying it because my wife was literally scared of him.

They have good equipment, they wrapped everything well. They allowed me to pay for extra work on the receiving end to move items to make place for where the piano was to be moved, and a couple of extras for without complaint. I really appreciate their service.

Moved a very heavy older piano to the house we just purchased.  At our old house, I had moved the piano in with the help of friends and family.  It took four of us to move the large, awkward, and very heavy piano and in the process we damaged the wood flooring.  Not wanting to relive this experience I decided to call professionals for the move to our new house.
I called Thresher Piano Movers and after answering a few questions (addresses, number of stairs, and such) I was given a quote and made an appointment for the move just a couple days out.
On the day of the move they missed the original appointment time, but did call me to let me know when they would arrive. The delay was only about an hour, so I didn't feel it was significant and well within my expectations.
When they arrived they were professional and efficient and also courteous. The specialized moving equipment they brought with allowed two of them to move the piano with finesse up the front stairs and into the house.  They are obviously very experienced.  Still hard work, but much less heave-ho needed than when I tried this before without professional help - and nothing was damaged in the process.
This piano has more sentimental value than monetary value, so I was having a hard time justifying paying for this service, but now I would say the service was worth every penny.  They will certainly get called on again if I need a piano moved.

Showed up on time, had the piano on the truck in about 10 minutes, arrived at the destination about the same time as I did and unloaded it up eight difficult stairs (with a bend) and then down 15 stairs to the basement with a tight corner at the bottom.  Handled everything perfectly, including taking out a door stopper to get the extra inch they needed to get through a tough spot.  But they forgot to screw it back in!  About an hour later, they called to ask if they could come back to fix it!  A door stopper!  That's service!

I tried to reach another provider for a week and never received a call back. :(

I reached Bill Saturday morning and his crew came out that day at noon (lucky for me they weren't too far away).  They saved the day because we had to get the moving truck back to the rental company.  The equipment they used to maneuver the full upright (weighing in around 960 lbs.) made it seem ridiculously easy for the two guys who came to help us.

Thanks Bill and crew!  We'll use you next time (which I hope won't be for a very long time)!

This was a very hard move with a large upright piano.  Had to take it out the patio door with only blocks set up as stairs.  It was amazing to watch as only two men were able to move the piano.  The piano was well protected and these guys were fantastic.

We had a tight window and they were willing to adjust their schedule to ours. The piano was moved from a basement to a basement. Ita was amazing to watch. Still not sure how they did it. Cost was exactly as quoted.

They called to say they were done early, and would we mind if they came ahead of the scheduled appointment time. The loadout was very calm, quick and professional, and they allowed us to include some folding chairs going to the new house in the truck. The offloading went as swiftly as the loadout, and the 2 gentlemen were very courteous and professional at all times.

The initial contact was professional. The owner spoke to me and after the initial information I was handed over to an assistant that make the appointment details. The actual movers were late because of a previous move taking longer than anticipated but called and informed me of the delay and the updated arrival time was reasonably accurate. The equipment used was high quality and the moving team polite and professional. The piano was moved without incident and I am happy with both the service and price. The price was actually a little less than some others I called, but Thresher has a specific formula for stairs and tight corners and stuck to it.
