These guys usually know what they are doing, and will charge a very fair price, but everything else is terrible. My family used them off and on since the 90's. When you bring your car in, expect to not get it back for a week, even for safety and emissions. It's happened to me, and all I needed to pass was a new tire, which they ripped off the cover of without even asking me if I had a key to it. Even jiffy lube has gotten them off without a key and didn't tear it off. I complained, they blamed me but said they would replace it and then never did. That was the last straw. Even the secretary there said they'd gone done hill when she saw how they treated me. Other times I've taken it in for bigger deals, and it's actually taken a full month. It's just not reasonable to rent or borrow one for that long. They'll be fair, but expect not to have your car for a long time and don't expect them to have good customer service. They are good mechanics, but not good professionals.

It was great. For anyone scared of getting hosed, Greenwood is not it. They are a busy place, so make sure to make an appointment, WELL worth it.

I have a 10-year-old car so I use them pretty often. They are reasonably price and they are effective. They are professional. If there is not a problem or if they can't diagnose the problem, they often will not charge.

I've been going to Greenwoods for 14+years. My wife has been going for 20+ years. All of our cars go to Greenwoods (once they've finished with the manufacturer warranty). They are easy to schedule with (just a phone call). They do the work right, or tell you why they can't do it. Often, if they can't do the work, they don't charge. In this case, I have an electrical problem they could not duplicate, so they only charged for the routine service.

I've recommended this provider at every possible occassion.

This is not a criticism, but be aware that this is a local community service provider. It is not a 10-minute oil change place. Plan to drop your car off in the morning and pick it up in the late afternoon. You can usually drop it off after hours or before opening. Put your key in an envelope clearly identifying the car and your contact information. There is a drop box in the entrance door.

I cannot recommend them highly enough, or often enough.

I came to Greenwoods fully expecting to have all that work done. Greenwoods could have just done the work and billed me and I never would have known the difference or questioned it. Instead they told me everything was fine with my truck and to contest the "failed" inspection. They did some other unrelated minor repair I needed. I saved $800. The Ford dealership in Provo confirmed the work was unnecessary and I passed inspection. This is one of MANY times this GREAT business has saved me and other family members a lot of money. They regularly refuse to do unnecessary work recommended by other dishonest businesses. As a result we always go to Greenwoods and have for many years. Sometimes you have to wait a few days to get in but it is because of their reputation. They are the best!

My husband had tried to fix this car problem for several weeks and so we decided to check reviews for car services on AngiesList to have someone else take a look at the problem. Greenwood Motor and Service Co. had very good ratings so we decided to choose them. They weren't the closest of places that we could have chosen, but we decided to go with them because of their favorable reviews. They called us back the next day and said it was fixed at only $36. We were expecting it to cost much more. We were absolutely delighted. The next time anything happens to any of our cars, we are going to Greenwood Motor and Service Co. They were extremely professional.

I called the shop at 9:00 (that is when they start, and are open until 6:00 PM) for an appointment. This was Monday, July 21. He asked what the problem was (window "dropped" spontaneously into the passenger side door). It had happened before within the year on the drivers side foor on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Tom said it sounded like the window regulator, and could we schedule it for Wednesday. I dropped the car off on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. They called well before lunch with a price, and called again by 5:00 to say it was ready to be picked up. I ended up picking up the car the Friday afternoon. It was ready, and clean, and fixed. This was an easy transaction. Do make sure you have a ride. This is a "local" mechanic, and they don't run a shuttle service. At least I've never asked, as I am within a long walk, in the same town.

Greenwood is a very personable auto service. I can say that they are very honest and they don't try to rack up a lot of unnecessary charges. I consider them to be very trustworthy.
