I am an insurance agent. County Wide has done mortgages and refinces for many of my clients. I was involved in insuring the underlying asset. County Wide was very good to work with, very accomodating.

We received a referral from his brother, a Realtor. He has an intense personality and was extremely nice. We were really happy working with him at first, but after we had some outside people look at our closing papers we had some doubts. I ended up calling a couple of other mortgage brokers who both gave us quotes that were lower on both the rate and the closing costs. When I took those numbers to Rob he was happy to match the quotes I had been given, but I had the feeling that he tried to take me the first time around- maybe that is his job, but I certainly felt like he wasn't looking out for my best interest. Another problem was his assertiveness in pushing me towards a certain type of loan. I repeatedly asked him about an 80/20 loan and he consistently told me it was a bad idea and we shouldn't even look into it. We finally ran the numbers and it ended up being a better option for us.
